Blog Strategy....

Whats the best way to go these days. 1 or 2 blogs with solid multiple daily updates or volume it out every few days and spread it all out on different domains? What do the blogperts suggest? :)

Whatever you do, keep in mind that latest Google Panda update and its effects on "spinning" and "morphing" http://www.highrevenue.com/seo/bounc...ze-bounce-rate

Not enough time in the day to spend updating lots of blogs with quality content. And yes I do think that google wants quality content. I say one or two blogs that you can spend time and energy promoting.

Content , Quality Content is king nothing else. Host on different domains/Ips/Class C

Focus on Content

Would it help to use a blog manager such as Qumana, that way you can plug in unique content often and frequently?

izzynew 04-14-2011 09:46 PM

Before the recent update I would have said go for quantity and quality, but now you need quality first across the board.
The only thing I would say against having only one or two blogs is if you get hit by google anyway, despite having quality content, or have server issues, you are still heading for a fall.
So I would say one or two blogs isn't enough and you need to build as many as you can comfortably update with quality content.

bullshit. it depends how you spin, how much you spin and what you spin

You cannot have all updates all in the same day, because updates have to be spread out over multiple days.

This is helpful.

She is beautiful!

Interesting question. I don't feel like I've been analyzing my stats long enough since the Google algorithm update to tell yet.

Who are you and what have you done with the real fatfoo?

I have some blogs I update daily, others bi-daily or weekly... Others when I can find content (like my Hayden Celeb blog!), others... I don't bother with too much.

jimmycooper 04-15-2011 02:26 PM

I have several blogs, but only one main one which I update regularly as the others are used primarily for non-recip linkbacks. I started the main one in July and have not done a single link exchange. Since Panda rolled out on 2/24, search hits have increased by 50%.

I'm not saying that this is the best way to go, as to discover this I would have to have tried the alternatives. I focused completely on 1 blog for around 4 years, and now I've also created a few basic satellite blogs that generate SE traffic and I feed them with traffic from my main blog. It worked for me, but like I say perhaps one of the other methods would have worked out just as well or even better. I have no way of knowing

Good luck! :thumbsup

Like you say it's always dangerous to have all eggs in one basket

rogueteens 04-15-2011 02:49 PM

however you update, the key is to keep updating at the same pace. so if you update once a week, keep doing that. Don't do loads of updates in one go or post daily then don't bother for a few months.

iggysick 04-15-2011 06:25 PM

Make as much as you can. Simple.
