Selling a blank book? [VID]
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/blan...eller-13369096
I interviewed this guy last month. Brilliant creativity. He has sold a book that is totally blank. Shows how important content is. |
Pretty funny. Not a book though. Not really. :)

Looks like an infamous GFY'er upcoming e-book ...

waaaaaay back in 1969 I went to my neighbor's house and she brought me over to her Dad's book case and proudly stated that her Dad had his book published. She pulled out a very nice leather bound book titled " All I Know About The Stock Market ".
I thought her Dad must be really smart. She handed me the book and I opened it to find nothing but blank pages. :) |

But what was clever about his is all the convincers that it's real. The cover is genius design. Every part of it was thought out in detail. And he was a nice guy too. |

What's worth noting is original ideas only come once. Brilliant ideas can be recycled and shaped for a new audience or generation which is the case here. |

Shed researched self help book covers, found 4 or 5 he liked best and wrote a really tight brief for the designer. The addition of the brain drawing, the lie about him being a professor, even down the the gsm of the cover stock. All these help sell the joke much better than the leatherbound idea. I think the same joke can be funny if refreshed. Anyway, the only reason I posted this is because it shows how totally unimportant content is when you are selling a product. It is totally down to the packaging and marketing. And he got a blank book in the top 50 of amazon. :) |

This just taps into the way people inflict shit books on others for birthday presents. |

Are you sure you don't want to modify that statement a little bit? |
