Who washes the dishes at your house?

The gf/wife? the dishwasher? you? your mommy?

Me and my gf always used to fight who does the dishes, but we finally got a fucking dishwasher, we are wondering why we didn't do it earlier....

pornguy 04-13-2011 10:37 AM

The maid or my Mother in law.

:)

I wash the dishes at my place, live alone

CurrentlySober 04-13-2011 10:38 AM

I cant afford dishes...

Jack Sparrow 04-13-2011 10:39 AM

Whats this dish washing you are speaking about.

Amputate Your Head 04-13-2011 10:39 AM

People still live without dishwashers? Do you do your laundry by hand on a washboard too?

v4 media 04-13-2011 10:40 AM

Usually the wife as I do all the cooking.

Honez 04-13-2011 10:40 AM

I usually load the dishwasher and he unloads it. If we have dishes that have to be handwashed, we take turns. Usually whoever didn't cook gets to do the cleanup and dishes.

I stick ours in the dishwasher.

candyflip 04-13-2011 10:41 AM

I'd rather wash the dishes than rinse, load and unload the dishwasher.

That said, we tag team 'em and the dishwasher does a big chunk of the work.

Tom_PM 04-13-2011 10:43 AM

I do them by hand and dont use the dishwasher. Saves me a few pennies in electricity, plus burns a few extra calories I guess. Be different if I didnt live alone.

cooldude7 04-13-2011 10:45 AM

maid in my house, also at my parents house.

beerptrol 04-13-2011 10:45 AM

I let the dogs lick em clean. hence i use paper plates while everyone else uses the dog washed ones

JustDaveXxx 04-13-2011 11:17 AM

I usually wash my own by hand, but my girlfriend does the rest with our dish washer.

But a long time ago when I lived with room mates. 3 single guys. One was my brother and the other one is still my best friend of 19 years. We lived together for 7 years with the messy dish issue at the beginning but got resolved really quick.

This was the rule: If any dish or pots and pans were not washed an hour after the were used, all dishes including pots and pans would end up in the users bed. This seemed to work very well.

Cant tell you how many times i came home with a girl and we jumped into my bed in the dark, to discover that all of the pots, pans and dishes i used, with the water still in them, in my bad and all over me and my date. Was so pissed, but now when we talk about it, it makes for great comedy.:2 cents:

yeah, but loading/unloading the dishwasher is a pain in the ass also -- and most of the time, you have to pre-wash the dishes before putting them in.

I thought that too. But my girlfriend showed me that you can go from the table to the dish washer and they come out perfectly. Was very surprised. I guess our dishwasher is that good? I did not know because i never have used them.

But, I still do my own by hand.

thecooze 04-13-2011 11:48 AM

I wash the dishes if I am alone or if someone else cooks me dinner. If I cook the GF does the dishes. I don't mind dishes but I hate doing laundry. UGH!

Rochard 04-13-2011 11:49 AM

Wife hasn't worked in nearly a year. She does it.

heatwaves 04-13-2011 11:50 AM

Nothing more sexy than a woman bending over cleaning a toilet or washing dishes while wearing pink latex gloves. Springs me every time:thumbsup

PR_Glen 04-13-2011 11:54 AM

hand is easier if its just you in the house.. but if you have people over a dishwasher is the way to go...

adult_text_links 04-13-2011 12:13 PM

We use the dishwasher believe it or not we load this puppy up every day and we actually save money on utils. I highly recommend this to all the tight asses on this board.

So you wash your dishes in electricity?

Vendzilla 04-13-2011 03:32 PM

Pit bull gets the chunks, then it's in the dishwasher

thickcash_amo 04-13-2011 03:36 PM

CYF 04-13-2011 04:06 PM

the dishwasher does my dishes. I load and unload it tho :)

Due 04-13-2011 04:15 PM

That's a really good question, I'll try and figure that one out.

I just thought every meal came with a clean plate

Wilbo 04-13-2011 04:22 PM

Dishes are like laundry. Just throw out the dirty and buy new.

Kiopa_Matt 04-13-2011 04:32 PM

I used to, but not any more. Now it's either the mother-in-law or sister-in-law. They get free living here, so I figure they can help keep the house clean. Call it rent payment.

Nah, even that's too advanced for them. They just use a big tub of water, throw a bunch of detergent in it, and scrub the clothes against each other, lol. I told them we can just keep using the pickup & delivery service they have on the street, but they insist on doing it by hand, so have at 'er.

Chris 04-13-2011 04:35 PM

lol @ everyone having maids.

its either me or my wife - who ever doesnt cook dinner

TurboAngel 04-13-2011 04:40 PM

Dishwasher here! I rented a house from one of my friends years ago and I asked if it had a dishwasher and he replied " Why yes and she even has a name......Chloe." I didn't find that funny tho.

I forgot to point out that I rent and don't pay for the water in or out. I still conserve as much as I can while hand washing by working quickly and not letting it run.

Spunky 04-13-2011 05:22 PM

I do all the time

listen blonda, my friends husband doesn't let his wife touch dishes. He's like "why?? she's just gonna go get more manicures with my money, I'll put it in the dishwasher myself." lol

That shit was for real. Funny as hell now, but not so funny when your laying on it all with your date. It was defiantly a mood killer.

I trained like a pro athlete at the time and cooked all of my own meals. 1 pan for the chicken, 1 pot for the vegetables, one pot for my rice or pasta, then 2 dishes and silver ware.

I would put that to soak for 10 minutes or so then wash it all up. But one time i got a phone call and then during the call a girl came by and we went out. Needless to say i forgot to wash all of my dishes.

Came home late, girl jump on me and wrapped her legs around my waist and i jumped onto the bed, then BAM!! Was all soaking wet after the jump. It was all tucked in nice and neat under my sheets and comforter water still in the pots and pans too.

Was a wood killer that night and i was pissed! But those were the rules. Wash your dishes or they would end up in your bed.

That was the 1st time and the last time that happened to me. Well, me jumping on the bed part.lol

The other funny rule was: Keep your clothes and personal things out of the common areas or they would get put in the trash can.

Cant tell you how many times i brought a girl home and we started out on the living room couch, the would move into the bedroom. Then in the morning the girl would go and look for the her purse, shoes and clothes and could not ever find them. Because they were not where she had left them.

I would tell her to check the trash and there, all of her things were, mixed in with last nights dinner scraps and trash. OUCH! This would happen at least 3 times a week. Things in the trash. My brother and roommate got up a 6am to go to work and would laugh there asses off as they were tossing my stuff and my dates stuff in the trash.

Was some fun times.:thumbsup
