Anyone here good with computers? I have an issue
 

When i flew back from Asia i took a pretty bad ass fancy computer.

During the flight it some how got fucked up on the way back to USA.

Everything was intact but the motherboard.. i had to screw it back in to the case. When i plug the power cords in and hook it up, it's packed with nice blue LED and tube lights and fancy light up processor fan etc. But it won't start up the BIOS and it won't turn off from the power buttom. So i need to remove the cords inorder to shut it off. I tried switching the RAM around a bit and clean it off with an eraser but i still can't get it to budge.

What the fuck you think could be wrong with it? And what should i do? All these computer dude's are charging to much cause it's a high tech machine trying to jip me out of money. :helpme:helpme:helpme

Try to trace the steps the power would take.

If the power supply starts, thats a good sign. Not only is the power supply ok, it means its connected to and "sees" the motherboard. (Most power supplies won't turn on unless connected).

Check that the CPU is still seated properly in its socket.

Check that any cards installed are also seated properly. Check all of the cables one at a time from the power supply to each component such as dvd, hard drives, etc.

If you don't find problem, its possible one of the devices have become damaged. Try disconnecting all of the drives. Leave only the motherboard connected. If your machine now starts, turn it off, then connect a single device and power it up again. Repeat this until your computer does not start to help find the problem.

If your machine doesn't start after connecting the DVD for example, then check that the data cable is connected properly. If it is and still won't start up, your DVD drive is either damaged, or you are drawing too much current from the power supply.
