The U.S. and her allies detonated over 20 nuclear weapons in the Pacific over 60 years ago and I'm willing to bet a nuclear bomb disperses radiation and fallout far worse than a meltdown. Any complaints about the seafood in that time span?
If you don't believe me, just look up the Bikini Atoll. They even relocated the indigenous people so they could do nuclear air bursts, underwater explosions, and surface explosions. "Between 1946 and 1958, twenty-three nuclear devices were detonated at Bikini Atoll" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bikini_Atoll This recent event is horrible, but it's not nearly as bad as the media would lead you to believe. Whatever Japan has going on with their nuclear plants will never be the same as 23 nuclear explosions. :2 cents: |
