Pasig city is in the middle of nothing. Although technically it is part of manila, its not anywhere near anything any tourists would want to go to. You need take the risk, and I repeat take the risk of getting a fuckin taxi to go where you want and that would cost you a fuckin fortune in taxi fares not to mention the ongoing hassle of dealing with rip off taxis and the traffic problem. In heavy rain you can take 3 hours just to go a few miles in Manila.
Better to spend the extra bucks on a place in Makati and you will save more money in the long run and walk to everything you need. Granted, it looks like a nice condo, but there are nice places in Makati for 30,000 pesos a month, now that is 13,000 more, but in the long run you will probably be 30,000 a month in front on taxi fares without the risk and hassle. Im not critisizing your place, 17,000 is good, but even 100 metres out of the action in manila is too far. |
If I wanted to stay there, would you pay for me, and in return I could do some 'chatting' for you for 8 hours a day?

Oh Philippines, the country where politicians eliminate their opponents by killing them, where more journalists get killed than in the rest of the world combined, where little children get murdered for organs, where no matter where you go, you will have warnings to alert you of the fact that you WILL get assaulted if you step out of the patrolled area. Not to mention the fact that the travel agencies routinely offer kidnapping insurance for people intending to travel to the Philippines, given that the likelihood of getting kidnapped is higher than in Colombia.... Anyone wishing to learn the truth about the Philippines is welcome to check out BestGore.com and do a search for Philippines. It takes a lot to be ranked the third most dangerous country in the world by the reality news website. (note, I have not linked the site because the reality of the Philippines is way beyond brutal. You need strong stomach to handle the real Philippines so if you choose to copy and paste the URL and get offended by what you see, it is your own fault).

Dude, Philippines only sucks if you don't have money. I lived there for 5 years and ate dog's and shit. If you want to escape prison sentence and shit like that. Head over there. Philippines is mad fun tho, I'm not going to lie. I heard Thailand was better to most people, and those people hated the Philippines for some reason.

I don't know why, but i found this thread so funny. I can read it over and over again. I figured I'd point that one out there.
|

The islands are what you make of it. Everything's here, the good bad and the ugly.
It's the real sin city, but if you see what I could, it's paradise. |
