Florida Republican Governor Rick Scott better hope his wife doesn?t leave him any time soon.

Scott transferred 62 million dollars in Solantic stock (a chain of healthcare clinics) to a revocable trust in his wife?s name after he got elected. Now he?s passing a bill that will hugely benefit Solantic. He calls this privatization, which might ring a bell for you since Republicans have been singing its high praises ever since they discovered government contracts (i.e., socialized profits for their private companies, aka, welfare for the wealthy). Basically, your tax dollars will soon be going directly to Rick Scott?s wife?s bank account if his bill passes.

Fair enough. Under all the fluff and mirrors my belief is we would find a lot of the same corruption and raping of the taxpayers and their dollars by all of these thieves in Washington.

Washington is where lobbyists pay politicians to forget why it was they were sent to Washington to begin with. Seems like a great plan, as long as you are not a Washington outsider...

Not sure why this story is being reported now when 2 months ago the Florida State Attorney's Office looked at this from a legal perspective and its been known that Solantic will not be allowed to Bid on any Government contracts and Solantic only accepts traditional Medicaid at only one location. So out of the 3.5 Million people only a small % would and could receive care at the single Solantic location, according to the Florida State Attorney's Office its not enough of a monopoly for there to be a legal issue.

On a side note, Solantic is already in the process of being sold to an out of state company so all of this would be moot once that happens.
