yeah, got that mail, was a member since 99 or 2000, don't remember right now, but I did one of the logos they had for quite some time after winning a contest with no prize, just for the sake of it. I never got even a thank you, they went somewhere else when they needed design and I had to beg for them to fix issues with the UCJ copies I had (paid in FULL, no discount). Needless to say when I found out GFY I ran away from those morons.

All in all, they were 10x more business oriented than GFY, so I tried a comeback some years later and the board was taken over by a couple idiots on an ego trip... for a board that had like 3 posts a day! :Oh crap Furthermore, they told me they would ban me! :1orglaugh

anyway, nice people of AWI, good luck on your future endeavors, just visited your page to see what is the fuzz about and just noticed a horribly cut logo and the same old AWI board

I helped moderating the board for quite some time in the busy times. Never got a thank you either, because something happened with Tim. We were friends for years and from one day to the other he was gone. For what reasons I do not know.

Used to be a great board for TGP/CJ owners when that biz trend was starting, lots of talk about scripts (UCJ, Blindio, TM3) etc. I used to visit it and to write daily those days.

Yes, I sound like on crack, that's the best you can come with when someone tells the truth and you can't counter with a real argument.

btw, 2 things I forgot: I was one of the sponsors of the board at some point (for 2 different programs and with 2 years difference, so who got my money? you or Tim?) and although I'm not 100% sure, I'm reasonably sure it was you the one who sent me a PM threatening to ban me because I made an announcement like everybody else.

If that's not an ego trip, I don't know how to call it. And if that is not a sign of how much you (and I mean you guys/girls/whatever not necessarily DanS) shitted on your own plate, well, then you need a head check. After all, did you ever think why everybody left the board and joined GFY? And don't come with the "Tim disappearing" nonsense, he barely posted there and nobody missed him. Hey, Lensman "disappeared" from GFY and nobody gave a damn!

Anyway, let's recap: you treated me like shit after I gave you your free logo, I bought 7 (seven) copies of UCJ, purchased ads on the board and helped with several "educational" posts, plus giving the last spurt of life AWI had by being one of the heads behind the TGP2 concept (and the webmaster behind the TGP2 site). I can't even imagine what did you do to people that didn't even gave you a cent, but the objective fact is everybody ran away from AWI.

You can call GFY members morons if you want (there are plenty of them for sure), but here you'll find some of the brightest minds in the industry as well, and you'll make 10000x more business than AWI board. If you're delusional, it's not GFY's fault. It's just your problem, get a shrink or something while I smoke my crack

Anyway, good luck, and I mean it. And if you feel like ban me from AWI, be my guest, it's not like I plan to get back any time soon

harvey this obviously happened before my time but let me try to clarify some facts for you.
1. There's only ever been 2 owners of AWI... Tim the original owner and then me.
2. From what i know and was told by tim the mods incl. DanS got zero financial benefits for being mods.
3. IMO AWI lost members (a) because the industry change (b) after i took it over i didn't give it the time it deserved (c) many webmasters went to GFY...not only from AWI but many other forums as well..many of which have closed since. (d)........

If you have any issues with AWI you should address them to me...the mods have done a job for free over many years and apparently never got a thank you.

That was my only affiliation with it. I have done it for free, I have never recieved a single cent for it. Getting called a "bunch of morons on an ego trip" for that is out of line.

Tim disappeared and there was nobody else who did support for UCJ at any time.
Hence my reference to Tim disappearing and you not getting support.

And I am 100% sure I never threatened to ban you or whatever. My mod rights never included banning anyone.

To recap once more, I have never recieved a free logo from you or anyone else from AWI. If you have taken place in a contest with no price, than why complain now? If you have given it to Tim to use it on AWI everything is settled, no?
I had never contact or negotiated advertising on AWI, I do not know who advertised there, I have just seen the banners like anyone else.
And I have never treated you like shit either.

Alot of oldtime AWI guys moved to ADX board and some of them always hang out here already before.

Well, you are barking up the wrong tree, I have never done you wrong.

It sounds to me that you are upset because you paid for UCJ copies and support stopped. And you paid for ads on AWI that were not delivered. And you won a contest and never got a thank you.

Either of those were solely handled by Tim and nobody else on AWI.

So calling Kevin (the new owner), me or any other of the mods morons on an ego trip is completely out of line.
