You think this is a scam or computer error?
 

On Xmas eve I went down to the local gas station to get myself a box of coronas. I used my Paypal debit card to pay for the beer. Usually Im never asked to enter my 'pin' cuz they usually charge it as a credit card. Anyway, I entered my pin, and nothing happened. I did it again, nothing happened. So I paid with cash. Next day I see I was charged $16 a total of 8 times in my Paypal account. WTF!

I called Paypal, explained what happened. they reveresed the charges. The next day after that, the charges were tacked on again by the gas station and they went through. Fuckin A! I had to fill out a chargeback affidavit with Paypal, mailed it to them, and before I got an official answer back, I saw my account get credited for the amount. Then I got a reply back from the credit dept at Paypal, saying 'Sorry, we cannot give ytou a credit for this, it seems it was already done' or something to that effect. WTF?

Yea anyway, my wife who has a Paypal card herself thats tied to the same account as mine , went to the same fuckin gas station and used it like a debit card to pay for $10 worth of whatever. Same fucking thing happened, over charged like 6 times. This never has happened anywhere else, and we have used the Paypal card as a debit card other places with no problem.

So I have to fill out a fuckin affidavit again. When I called Paypal today, they are claiming its not because of them, it was the merchant. Now I wonder if this gas station has something rigged to do that shit to all debit card users. Its not like debit cards have the protection of credit cards.

So you think its a computer glitch or possibly some scammy mofo who rigged his terminal? I mean this happening twice is just bullshit.

Could be either way. Some scammy asshole at the local Blockbuster kept ringing me out twice everytime I rented and pocketed the second amount. He was a manger too so it was pretty hard to get a straight answer for a while.

I just went to the gas station to bitch but no manager or owner was there. Im gonna tell the manager / owner that Im reporting them from everything to the police to the fbi for scamming debit cards. Whether they are or not, its incentive for them to fix the fucking problem whatever is causing it.
