I know lots of couples who met on facebook and then ended up dating and going out. It's just as successful as meeting them anywhere else I would think. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Beats meeting them drunk at a club/bar and remembering them as much hotter :/

I met my wife online (WAY before Facebook). Honestly I felt I had run the gambit locally. Every woman I dated in my home town was basically the same.

I talked to my wife online for years as friends before we met in person. I already knew her very well by our first "date."

isn't it funny how the public attitude has swung so far in a few short years, it wasn't hardly long ago that people would make fun of anyone that said they met someone or were looking for a date online, now it seems like society makes fun of people that aren't doing most of their social networking online :helpme

Just like you would on GFY or some AOL game. I met goodgirl in 2001 here on GFY although we never saw each other in person until 2004.

One of my Fb friends met his g/f on Fb. They were from the same neighborhood and had mutuals, just never met until Fb.
