I just recently adopted the drive through banking, I'll sit there for 10 minutes. It's way comfier than waiting in line inside, and I can listen to music...
It's not my fault BofA takes forever to scan each check though :1orglaugh That's all I ever do in the drive through. |
Who still does banking with a teller? Most ATMs accept checks and cash deposits.
|
I just opened a Bank of America account online and went to the branch to make my initial deposit.
I was told that with the account I have, that I'm ONLY able to use the ATM. If I go into the bank to use any service, I will be billed $8.95. There was one ATM outside and a line of cars almost 10 deep. But the ATM machines too cash and checks with no need to write out any envelopes or anything like that. It was impressive. My main bank is a credit union that I can access from pretty much any corner in town. Their machines aren't as nice. |

I bank with BOA, and the location where my bank is horrible. The parking lot is way too small, over crowded, and just plain dangerous. I go once a week and only at night.

So wait....you guys actually have drive thru banks?
|
What about waiting in line behind some idiot who has a stack of bills and is putting them 1 by 1 in the deposit slot? :1orglaugh

Ever heard of online banking?

And many banks allow check deposits to be scanned in on-line.
As for deposits involving currency or unusual deposit items (ie. foreign checks), ask the bank for a night deposit bag and use the outside deposit box. No need to ever step inside. Even paperwork can often be done through the computer or postal mail. On a related topic, why do people, in particular, those who have other choices nearby, use big name banks - they often have the worst service and highest fees ... ie. the $8.95 mentioned to visit a teller. Crazy stuff! Ron |
