I thought it was very cool for them to take the time to surprise Steven Tyler with a birthday song from Stevie Wonder and how they blew the minds of the two wrestling fans. Not only was it a nice gesture it also made for great TV. I hope they keep it up.

fuck, i totally forgot about the bday stuff! and yes on the hotties. haley or pia, hard to say which is hotter.

They are both very hot and great singers. It's easy to imagine they would be easy to handle in a relationship. The African one is a different story. She strikes me as the kind that if you pissed her off not even Tarzan could save you.

Casey is doing is doing the right thing by being unique, but he's been slowly going off the rails for the last 2 weeks. He needs to pull it back a little and be more accessible.

i thought they were going to have to bring the paramedics up on stage for casey last nite, he turned white.

i think he's waaay waaay over-rated and truly massacred the last 2 songs, not to mention he can't handle the stress and he's quite beastly.

i literally jumped off the couch with joy last nite when america voted him off.

I think the guy is mega-talented, but he's over-doing it in a big way. Teenage girls aren't going to vote for a scorching rendition of "insert whatever soulful song".

I think the country guy is the weakest out of the bunch in terms of versatility. Awesome when he stays in his very narrow niche but no way can he sing anything other than a country ballad and not make it sound country.

Casey brings his own style which won't get him to the end either but he sure does help round out the cast. Each contestant has a different style and vibe. Collectively they make for a pretty entertaining group which is why they kept Casey in with their " save " card and decided to allow 11 to go on tour. They will sell more tickets.

funny, i was thinking about that. why bring casey along as the 11th tour member when america already said no to him? seems weird to me.

Well they all have to go eventually until they get the winner. Casey made it to number 11 and he got that far because America liked him :)

The judges and those behind the IDOL machine know that while Casey isn't the most popular he still has something unique to offer and would add something to the normal 10 that go on tour so they made the exception. If he was very similar to one of the other singers I have no doubt that would've been the end of the road for him.

I don't know if you caught the very end buy Ryan said because Casey got the save they will be letting TWO contestants go next week to catch back up with their normal schedule of elimination.

BTW, you can add the part where Casey had to sing for his chance to stay and they pulled the plug half way through to tell him not to even bother because he's in as another " wow " moment of the show :thumbsup

yeah, they always vote 2 off the week after a save.


well, technically, the judges brought casey up to semi-finals, america just voted him through the last few rounds.

i could be wrong and he could be the next joe cocker, he is musically talented. but i'll go ahead and say right here that he'll be voted off next week if he continues performing like he does.

They had an article in Entertainment Weekly recently with odds on all of the contestants.

Casey was 3-1 as the winner. Doesn't seem so accurate after last night's events.
