My wife and I just had our first child March 9th. A beautiful little girl who goes by the name of Kira Kailyn.

Never thought I'd be a father but it sure is a wonderful thing!!

Thanks everyone! It has been great but the lack of sleep is starting to get to my wife and I. We're trying to switch shifts with her as best as possible. I'm up now and she's laying in bed since she took care of her most of the morning. Definitely takes some adjusting and it looks like I may be back in adult full time before I know it.

I've done some crazy shit in my life, got the scars to prove it, but the most scared I have ever been was when I held my daughter for the first time, literally changed my life from that point in time.

I am a little confused. Oldest of 12, 2 kinds of my own . . . don't ever recall having to work shifts to "watch the kid." They aren't going to do much anyway, so not a lot to watch. They will let you know when there is something to see/do. Always.

But we've had three in a little over 2 years, so I laugh at anyone who thinks having one newborn to care for being exhausting, is comical. Also...girls are MUCH MUCH MUCH easier, so you lucked out there.

I can't imagine what those that have multiples go through. I'm sure they'd laugh at me too.
