Damn, that was pretty impressive. That great white was swimming along thinking it was the top dog and nothing could harm it...then that Orca took it out like child's play.

I saw that on TV...still cool to watch again. I've heard that Orcas sometimes kill sharks and when they do, the shark's carcass puts out a chemical that alerts other sharks and they all leave the area at once.

god i hate the term killer whale.
1)while they are also cetacean which includes whales, the "killer whale" is actually a dolphin, the largest member of the dolphin species.
2)while they can dispense with pretty much any living thing in the ocean, attacks on humans are exceedingly rare.
3)comparing a great white shark to an orca is like comparing a 22 caliber handgun to a smart bomb, in other words no comparison cuz the orca probably has the intelligence of a human or beyond. anatomically speaking their forebrains are larger than humans.

I'm sure the orca's intelligence is off the hook. But I think it may have more to do with it's physical attributes.

I know that I'm smarter than a shark. But put us both in the water and the shark wins everytime. :)

really i am sure that when those two were coming at each other the orca had that fish out guessed and out-maneuvered from the starting gun. shit they probably have an aural manual they pass out to the youngins to instruct them in the fine art of shark dismantling.
