For the last month we have been tweaking our mobile tours & mp4 trailers to achieve the best conversion ratios.
Take a look at the videos and let me know what you think. We have gone more for quality over small file size as I believe that most mobile users will be using their WIFI or 4G connections. I was doing my testing on an Iphone 4 and they looked great.

Looking over the stats I was surprised on how many of our visitors were doing so on mobile devices. The most popular being Iphone, Droid & Ipad. I guess many of you already knew this but it was news for me.

You have to test on a MOBILE DEVICE otherwise you will get re-directed to the regular tours!

says "movie cannot be played" on my ipod touch

also, i clicked the link on my regular browser and it didn't redirect me to regular tour

tested on Android and it brings me to the regular tour.

ok thanks I will get our programmer to test again. Strange as it re-directs of for me using Iphone...

np, just update this thread when its fixed, I can test again...

k, thanks. have got it being looked into now. Big pain in the butt with testing unless you go out an buy an Ipad, Iphone, droid etc.....

but yeah having actual devices helps a lot. I have 3-4 different ones at my disposal and getting more :upsidedow

I took a look at the user agent switcher however could not find many different phone agents.

Strange as it has been re-tested with droid phone by our programmer & nats and it seems to be working.
I looked through some traffic logs and am seeing referring urls like the one below so some droid phones are being detected.

Which android phone are you using ?

i don't think the plugin comes with many (if any) phone agents on it but it allows you to edit the list and add them yourself

Can somebody else please test the tours using a droid phone and let me know if you get re-directed to mobile.domainname.com ok.

Looks like I may be visiting the phone shop this weekend to conduct some more tests :(
