How to stop .xxx even though it's approved

Option 1: create .sex, .porn, .anal, and a bunch of other TLDs. Sell them for $15 a pop (not $60). Dilute the market so .xxx is just another dumb extension like .info which nobody cares about.

Option 2: Go on christian boards and rant about how .xxx spells an end to religion and christian values. Laugh at them and taunt them mercilessly. Tell them you can't wait for all the hot new porn that will come from it. Tell them how it'll be just like the red light district in Amsterdam with all the eastern european hos u can bang. Tell them they can't do anything about it.

Option 3: Tell prominent religious senators or other freaks like pat robertson that you are going to register their name and then put gay porn on it. Tell them that patrobertson.xxx is for gay porn and that they can't use it. See how they react.

#1 is a good idea but I bet ICANN will think that 1 adult only type tld is enough for porn, very slim chance you will see .sex or any others.

#2 is something I have mentioned over the last couple years, the religious nuts are against this we should have used them to protest it and fight it. But apparently no one tapped into that.

#3 isn't going to get you anywhere.

Unfortunety its a little too late for #2 and #1 will likely never happen. We fucked.

(thank god this wasn't another thread about everyone boycotting it, those people are so delusional. that will never happen. )

will, do a bit of research. you'll see that ICANN is opening the floodgates for tld's in the near future. they are going to allow basically anyone to purchase one, though the costs will be six figures. you could have anything from .yourbusinessname to .verb or whatever you want.

That article was posted almost 3 years ago, so I don't seem them opening those flood gates any time soon since it took Lawley 10 years just to get .xxx through.

Considering there is already tons of tlds and this will be the first adult one I'd be surprised to see more like .pussy .dick etc... anytime in the not so near future.
