I'd say no, that and dmoz are pretty dead these days. You never know, someone might have a different opinion and I'm no expert.

Links from authority sites in your niche are what you need.

isnt this a question of weight? in that case yahoo is still a fairly big company so Id say yes its helpful... just is it helpful enough that you can warrant the cost...

the other thing to look at is your competition.... are they using it and have you looked into how it is/isnt helping them? There's software apps to help you analyze this type of stuff... message me if you really wanna look into it a bit more.

Is it worth $600 to get listed in the Yahoo directory for the SEO benefit? No. It is not. I base this answer on a simple fact that I have sites listed in Yahoo and I can tell you it doesn't give you enough of an SEO benefit to justify the return financially.

If it were free or even $10, I would say sure, but not $600.

For that $600 you could do so much more that would get you a much larger return on your investment.

Yahoo screwed me out of $90 for their ad program. Paid it, and then I could no longer log in.

if you know where to look you can easily find domains with dmoz and yahoo listings dropping on daily basis and get them for $59

can't go wrong with, just don't burn your entire seo budget on it...
