D.B Cooper was a bad ass.

Drank a bourbon, had a smoke, strapped on a parachute with $200,000 attached to his chest and jumped out of plane going 200mph at night with a temperature of -7 degrees (windchill of -69 degrees) over basically a wilderness, wearing a business suit.

What have you done lately? :winkwink:

He had it all planned, still amazing... but he had this shit worked out for a year if not more :)

Dejan 03-19-2011 06:42 PM

Bad-ass James Bond style :thumbsup

ShellyCrash 03-19-2011 06:52 PM

I'd love to say this guy made it, but evidence says otherwise. I guess until they find a body we'll never really know.

Rangermoore 03-20-2011 12:44 AM

I believe he made it..

under your theory, Chirs Mallick was a bad ass. Funny how this industry is constantly contradicting itself.

BJ 03-20-2011 12:58 AM

and you have an affiliate program which I assume has webmasters.

Nah, DB Cooper stole government insured money. No individual lost a dime.

Mallick stole uninsured money...individuals did indeed lose money.

Wow did you read way too much into the OP. No where in there did I mention the theft, only what he physically endured that night. Sorry you have Mallick on the brain.

Didn't Prison Break clear that part up? :)

SmokeyTheBear 03-20-2011 11:40 AM

small discrepancy .. he strapped on a non-working "dummy" parachute, i.e. he plummeted to his death..

So they say. I don't believe it for the simple fact he ordered 4 to make them think he may be having other hostages parachute out as well. Do you really think they sent over a dummy chute and risked that?

The dummy chute he strapped was the backup chute. He also strapped a working chute which was his primary one.

Actually, it's true that the FBI sent him 1 dummy chute among the 4 chutes. It was totally by accident. At the time, the FBI had thought all 4 were working.

I can't say whether or not he made the jump, but cougar/mountain lion bodies/bones are rarely, if ever found in the wild. The wilderness is a huge place and full of scavengers who's main purpose in life is to decompose carcasses.

bdld 03-20-2011 04:41 PM

they found some of the money by a river, so he didnt make it.

And where does the Gov. get a large portion of its income? Stealing from the gov. is stealing from the individual tax payer regardless. Stealing is stealing, no matter how it is romanticized..
