It's just unreal...as bad as things may or may not be for the Libyans (you know, the people who cheered when the "hero" who blew up that commercial plane over Scotland came home from England)...Why are we attacking ANOTHER country that hasn't attacked us?

This shit is unreal. I guess everytime we do it, it just becomes a little bit easier to do. We are doing shit that is the equivalent of declaring war on a country.

Can you imagine for just one minute if one of us was to start an "opposition" to the U.S. govt. and have tanks, sub-machine guns and anti-aircraft weapons like the rebels in Libya do? I can tell you what would happen. The U.S. army would come here into Vegas (if it were me doing it) and completely destroy us.

And if that happened...would the world call for other countries to declare a "no-fly" zone over the U.S. and then start firing in missiles?

This shit is out of hand. I thought as a country we were all in agreement to not do this "pre-emptive" "just in case" shit anymore after Iraq. And yet...here we go!

And how much does every one of those missiles cost that we are firing? Isn't our country bankrupt already? Aren't the politicians screaming that they need to tax us MORE and give the federal govt. MORE power?

I don't know. Count me as an American who wants nothing to do with the affairs of other countries and someone who thinks all this meddling is just wrong on our part.

I wonder what would happen if we took all the money from the Iraq war and all the military bases we have occupying other countries around the world and the money we're about to spend in Libya...and put solar panels on every building in the United States and made a major loan (you know...like that big "bailout") to car companies to kickstart a serious cheap electric car to plug into our homes that are now solar powered...and then RETURNED all the rest of the unspent money to the people.

Then we could turn our backs on those crazy fucks in the middle east AND save the world from Al Gore's global warming all at once (speaking of which...I wonder how much global warming all these jets and tanks and explosions are causing...I'd bet more than ALL of our cars do in a hundred years)

I have family in the military...and one of the reasons I was glad Obama was elected was because he said he was going to bring our troops home and put an end to the big mistake of Iraq.

If the Libyans want him out, then the military forces should want a new Gov as well and turn against him.

i was watching the MIL channel the other day and they were bragging/talking about all these new weapons and airplanes and crap.. some new stealth bomber being developed at over $1bil each.. i mean those bombs we are dropping in libya cost at least $500k each.. people think a bomb costs $100?

A few days of "military action" like this sets us back tens of millions.. arent we already in debt? FML

He never said end the wars.... He said end the Iraq war, which he has done and did within the timeline. He did bring home a bunch of the Iraq troops, but he also said a new focus was needed in Afghan, more troops, focus, money, etc and he did that too.

War wise, Obama has done pretty much what he said he would do.

Only one person campaigned on totally ending the wars, and that was Ron Paul.

We can not afford to be the cops any more. Go ask the Chinese to help out.

While I have read articles saying that we don't get any of our oil from Lybia, there is no doubt that it is sheer and utter madness to continue our dependence on it as a source of energy.
