I wonder which newb is going to get camgirls.xxx and steal all of your SE traffic and type ins .... lol

cam_girls 03-18-2011 11:16 PM

I actually think ALL adult will move to .XXX

but that is the only way it will work, keep .COM for business and .XXX for adult.

All ADULT.COM owners get first dibs on ADULT.XXX

The type ins and current traffic will soon head for .XXX

Only way it will take off AND make the .COM space safe for family rating (G-STRING AND ABOVE)

maybe 20 years for that to happen though..

kazbalah 03-19-2011 12:19 AM

yea thats nice, but what about the last 5 years ive spent building link backs for my .com's - shall we all just start again shall we?

.COM's can remain apparantly, so a bunch of 301's will sort that one out :thumbsup

Last time I checked, I am running a business. So your logic is horribly flawed. Just because my business is in adult, it doesn't change the fact that it is a business.

cam_girls 03-19-2011 02:11 AM

Not sure what 301's are but the DNS system itself could redirect all ADULT.COM to ADULT.XXX for 1 year or so.

In the old days there was business or pleasure, .XXX would help reestablish that nomenclature. Don't worry you still get paid!

Anyway this is a topic for 2020. Meantime I don't think anyone will lose any typeins to .XXX.

But millions of young kids going to GIRLFRIEND.COM and DOLLFORUM.COM even WEBCAMS.COM and seeing adult sites is pretty farkin' daft!

It's 'cos their selfish parents don't love them enough to install appropriate filters...

according to the TAX department it's still a business,
but there is no reason adult oriented material has to
operate under the .COM commercial designation.

The censorship/family/rating/ISP level/Client level/filtering issues are trivially solved just by using the TLD designation for what it was designed for!

Personally I think CamGirls.xxx sucks, no rhythm! but if *everyone* moves across to .XXX it won't hurt business that much. By that time everyone will cam on video phone anyway.

You are so fucking stupid it must hurt your head? ".com" isn't the only extension that has porn on dipshit.

Quit hating on better domains.

By that same logic "camgilrs.com" is just as innocent. You don't have any adult terms in there.

.xxx is shit for many reasons. Many of us, perhaps even yourself included, acquire customers during their working hours. If most workplaces install .xxx filters, and lets be honest why wouldn't they, it's going to cut into revenues.

You can take that as far as you want. What if Steve Jobs in his war against porn on his devices blocks .xxx from every ipad and iphone. Not probable but possible.

It gives the conservatives an easy way to fuck with access to our product. Fuck with the access to adult sites you fuck with our money. You fuck with my money you fuck with my emotions so :321GFY

There's no way that you are going to twist my BUSINESS into being anything other than a BUSINESS. And I can promise you one thing, so long as we have the choice, my BUSINESS will not invest a single dollar into this .XXX scam.

And by the time it becomes a requirement, I'll (hopefully) have my mainstream ducks in order and then leave the adult scene. I will not be forced into some ghetto bullshit because some greedy fucks want to make more money off of what I own.

Sounds like you might want to drop ICM an email and ask for a handout since you're clearly in favor of this online ghetto scam also known as .XXX

.xxx is all about the .$$$

If they truly wanted to protect kids from adult domains, the browsers and search engines could simply agree on a standard identification tag adult sites must use. Think of it just like a meta tag.

Now, if they wouldn't all agree on the same standard, you might need to use a few different tags. Not a big deal.

Browsers:
- Upon loading an adult-tagged page, displays their own "warning page contains adult material" page.

Search Engines:
- Have an option, as most already do, to filter out any adult-tagged sites.

Pages that choose not to use the tags, that get flagged/reported, are given a warning/grace period. Should they further choose not to identify their pages, they are simply put into a sandbox by the browser/search engine, until they do comply.

Easy.

When there is an easy solution and it's not used, it's not because no one thought of it - it's because it's not profitable :)
