fsc's official statement so far read like "oh shit".

Maybe it will be coupon codes we can use for discounts on .xxx registrations.

.XXX could easily become a junk or spammy tld like .info, .com has always been king.

Could be coupons, or it could be, "Join us and you'll never be forced into using only .XXX."

Would be interesting to see if it is coupons, just how quick they put that together.

My stuff is trademarked. So anybody buying Claudia Marie dot xxx is just gonna be doing me a favor and paying for the domain right before I take it from them.

Nothing will change in regard to cybersquatting on a registered trademark. Just like all other top level domain extensions.

Alternatives? No one is forcing you to use XXX. Anyone who does is just shooting themselves in the foot because every business, government agency, and college around the world will ban XXX domains from their network. Anyone using a XXX tld will never get as much traffic as if they had a .com.

This is a waste of time.

"I wouldnt get anything on .xxx it'd probably be banned automatically in most places" was quipped after I mentioned it.

actually i have high hopes on google and bing - they could easily make that tld almost worthless

For example .info is a total joke that was ruined by spammers etc, no one serious uses or trusts it.
