This is like a whole new insight into the developmental stages / components of how we learn to communicate! Not to mention all of the data that is inherently thrown at us & absorbed during our childhood. What a brilliant way to collect, store, process, evaluate, and present the data they observed.

What was inhumane about it? & what is cultish about TED?

Editor's note: TED is a nonprofit organization dedicated to "Ideas worth spreading," which it makes available through talks posted on its website. Deb Roy is co-founder & CEO of a technology company, Bluefin Labs, and is on leave from the MIT Media Lab.
