watching some of these videos shot in offices and shops during the earthquake i'm amazed by how quiet the people are - it looks absolutely terrifying, they had no idea at the time if the entire building was going to collapse and kill them and there are hardly any screams or crying - almost nothing.

I suppose a loud scream is only useful if you want to be heard by a person far away from you like 30 meters or something.

I watched supermarket workers running to the stands to try and stop them from falling over on a clip earlier. Very weird.

They are used to this. Of course it´s a lot worse this time, but you don´t know that when it hits you.

Yeah, the reports I've watched on TV said that this was a bit scary, more so than most. When you live an an area to gets hit a lot - such as Japan - you get used to it. But they all knew this one was huge.

Panic, over reacting, useless whining and plain stupid fear are American traits.

That's why we have body scanners in airports.

Earthquakes is normal thing there,this one just been a bit bigger then usual ones.

Japan is awesome in many ways. I gotta get back there soon.

Earthquakes happen all the time over there but yes they are very reserved as a whole.

Looking at how organized and cool are Japanese when facing the horrible disaster I understand it was just a unlucky conincidence they have'nt won WWII

I guess if there was a big earthquake where Mutt lives, he'd run around screaming and flailing his arms. lol
