Will March 19 'supermoon' trigger disasters?
Will March 19 'supermoon' trigger disasters?

It didn't the last time, so probably not.
;-) |

Should be a nice night to hang out in the light and feel the pull.... |

Who knows, maybe the disaster will come a week earlier... |
No.

It just did, the biggest earth quake since 40 years.
|
Lol at the responses btw, are you scientists or what the fuck, since when you know better?
|
Don't be stupid. Here's a list of distances moon - earth, in kilometers:

Notice anything? Look at August/Sept of 2010. Did we have major catastrophes? No. And that was only a 1000 kilometers difference with March 19th. So there you go kids...you can all sleep soundly. |

You are dealing with a Huge Magnet. What is the distance that these start to pull on each other more? They already say the moon is the cause for the tides. Place to magnets on a table, just far enough to start to pull on each other, then slightly push one a little closer... |

Explain to me why my science is flawed? Your analogy is sweet. Lets scale that down: Let's say that every 1,000km is 1 cm. On a table that's about 400 cm long(400,000km) we place the moon and the earth about 359 cm apart. Yes 3 meters and 57 cm (that's 359,000km) which is the distance earth - moon @ 2009/08/19. NOTHING happend then. Now, on 2011/03/19 the distance is going to be 356,000, so 356 cm. Are you telling me that moving the magnets 3 cm closer to each other is going to have a catastrophical impact? Because that's what you're implying. |
GFY scientists and astrologers on the case.
|
well the moon will be close...but also elenin will be passing by and spraying us with thousands of small asteroids..should make a great show around march 15th
lets just hope its small stuff and no biggies come in |

I'll be live watching all stuff that happens on this planet on http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php

Why do people come up with these crazy theories? You do know the moon has been circling the earth for billions of years, right? Don't worry, nothing's going to happen. Just like the world isn't going to end on May 12th, 2011, just like it won't end on Dec 21st, 2012 either. Can't wait for people to start saying, "See! California got a 40cm wave due to the earthquake in Japan. I told you the world was coming to an end!" |

Maybe this is the cause?
