What accounting software do use?
I was wondering what accounting software you use? We have over 750 affiliate accounts and tracking everything is a real pain in the ass. We've used Quickbooks and spreadsheets. We need something more efficient. Any recommendations would be VERY much appreciated.

I use spreadsheets myself. Peachtree seems to be a commonly used accounting software. Never used it, but hear a lot of people talking about they use it.

stats remotes + internal system.
always i search of a better solution. |
been using Quickbooks for years and I love it.

Quickbooks!
|
ummmmm i think i should use that also :)
|
If you need something more amped up than Quickbooks I recommend Peachtree.
|
Peachtree is a good solution. If you want something more Enterprise you can look into SAP's ERP and some of there other software suites.
|
quickbooks handles most low-mid volume stuff. peachtree is high end and high volume software.
|
You mean there is other accounting software than quickbooks. LOL.
Quickbooks is good. Efficient and easy, good program for our business. If you are a mega-operator with an in-house accountant than Peachtree goes WAY beyond Quickbook. Just have a CPA nearby. |
I love Quickbooks.

I feel your pain on quickbooks. A lot of the stuff requires many steps to accomplish one thing.

iCompta - big enough for my needs! And interfaces well with the bank too. I run a simple life :)

Custom system and 1 person working on it full time.
Over 1500 programs here, it still is a pain though. |
We have been using Quickbooks since 2004 and like it very much. Our accountant and bookkeeper use it and we recently trained someone to do basic order/entry on it too without too much trouble.
One small problem though is the file format is not cross-compatible between PC's and Mac's. So if all of your accounting files are in PC format, you can't open them in Quickbooks for Mac, and there is no conversion software. You are forced to install Windows for Mac and then run the windows version of Quickbooks, without hope of refund from Quickbooks. argh. |
