ICQ Down?
 

I'm using ICQ through Trillian Astra 4.2 and have been offline for 3-4 minutes now. Anyone else seeing the same?

i cant connect for the last hour, no idea whats up but this hasnt happened in years to me

I'm on two accounts and it's working fine for me.

Been on it all morning, no problems here.

I was using QIP for ICQ and it went down earlier this morning with a connections limit reached error and I could not connect at all. I finally got ICQ to come up but QIP is still giving me the error.... I hate ICQ's GUI

ICQ was forcing me to upgrade earlier today, then failing at the download everytime. I just manually upgraded to version 7.4 build 4629 and it seems to be ok. For now.

Yea me too i am on trillian i cant connect tried tons of times hoped it wasnt just me. Will try again soon I guess.

so it's only trillian where it doesn't work?

I got a notice about it, but only glanced at it... I think it said ICQ upgraded their auth method or something with auth, and now all the apps will need to updated to work with the change(s).

using miranda-im here and unable to connect

it's rejecting the client....

they probably changed the protocol a bit, so we'll have to wait a couple of hours until the miranda people release another icq.dll

I use Digsby and can't log in. Although Digsby did send me a message that ICQ changed one of their protocols and that is what is causing the problem and they are working to fix it.

I logged into Meebo and it had no problem connecting.

grmbl ... just tried with pidgin and it works like a charm ... the trillian dudes need to update their stuff lol

aaah, updating trillian did the trick hehe ... no more pbs :)

updated from trillian astra 4.2 build 20 (i thinnk) to build 25 now ...

Likewise hope they do a fix for it as I hate that Astra. Had to install ICQ as a temp measure and its grim to use.

trillian 3.1 won't work and trillian 4.2 won't import my settings - i am seriously pissed here

now i got 4.2 running - what a screwed interface :-/

but at least icq works again
