"The Wire" Actor Busted in Drug Raid

Felicia "Snoop" Pearson caught in Baltimore drug sweep Felicia Pearson's real-life struggles with drugs and crime informed her perfomance on the critically-acclaimed HBO series "The Wire," and it looks like she never fully shook off her past.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Pearson was arrested early this morning along with 30 other suspects in a Baltimore drug raid. The raids were reportedly targeting heroin and marijuana rings.

Pearson was cast as hardened drug dealer "Snoop" on "The Wire" in 2002, but she spent her troubled early life working the streets of Baltimore as an actual drug dealer - and was even convicted of second-degree murder at age 14. She spent six years in prison.

She was one of the best characters on The Wire, I guess it's because she wasn't acting. She be the real deal!

I miss The Wire... It was an awesome show!

I just re-watched Season 4 last week.

It's hard to imagine that girl doing anything but being a gangster. How many acting roles is she really going to get anyways? It's not like she can play Jennifer Anniston's girlfriend #3 in the latest romantic comedy.

I bought my in-laws the entire series DVDset for christmas, because they talk about how much they like cop shows. They've been hopelessly hooked, and just finished watching the last episode of the series. I borrowed the DVD set and watch while I work...I'm addicted all over again. That show is just all encompassing, real-life shit, from the lowest drug dealer to the upper echelons of Baltimore politics and police force. Nothing will ever match it on TV.

she was in trouble with the law her whole life, not all that surprising. Kinda humorous to see that she was arrested by a special unit of the Baltimore police force though... I mean come on!! she had an inside scoop to what its like in there! haha

Fuck how many other roles she will get. Look what she just did with her name after getting paid from that show. She was just to stupid to get help and make something of herself after someone stepped up and gave her the chance of a life time. Not many people convicted of attempted murder get that.

Great show. I just finished season 2 so I'm about to see this "snoop" girl soon :)

I just went back to watch a classic. Now I know why snoop was so good. Shes all gangster.
