Dear CCBill,

Dear CCBill,

Is there any chance in the foreseeable future that we could expect an update to the statistical system? Pretty ridiculous when a click report finally times out 2 and a half hours later.

I'm seriously considering to no longer promote CCBill processed affiliate programs. Occasionally I can get stat reports. Mostly I cannot. It's time to update that aging system and offer tracking with campaigns, referral urls that actually show up (which they have not since around 2005 for me), not relying so much on cookies and adding other tools that most other statistical systems offer.

This is not to take a jab at them but more-so the straw that broke the camels back. Conversions are shot with CCBill programs anyways. Not entirely due to CCBill but mostly due to sub-par sites. So it may be better to swap out with fresh stuff anyways. It would just be a shame to have to miss out on the few programs processing with them that still work however the statistical interface leaves me not wanting to bother with them anymore. Traffic needs to be monitored, referrals need to be monitored and ability to access the stats in the first place is important to tweaking, promotions and testing of promotion methods. Having to use my own landing pages to monitor traffic for promotions is sometimes not possible so hopefully that will not be a suggestion.

Do you still log in using affilateadmin.ccbill.com or webadmin.ccbill.com?

If so then try just admin.ccbill.com.

I did, for the first time yesterday.

It made a difference.

I am currently unaware of any problems with the admin portal but I would like to look into this for you!

Can you please shoot me an email with the URL you are going to, your IP, browser, and any other information that could help us troubleshoot your problem?

Thank you!

Oddly I was just in the system and it loaded fine. In fact for the last few months it has been loading faster even when I am pulling a year or more data

iwantchixx 03-10-2011 10:47 AM

Yep, am using https://affiliateadmin.ccbill.com/

Thats what's linked from their main ccbill.com page. One would assume the listed url would be the good one.....

wow just logged into the admin.ccbill.com and totally different!

Why are you guys linking to the old system then from your main page?

Ditto. I have never seen that web 2.0-ish looking link before. I will have to poke around and see if the stats are actually more user friendly, or if it just looks different.

iwantchixx 03-10-2011 10:58 AM

At least this time click reporting worked, check amounts take forever though.

Referring URLS no go though

WMS Affiliate Referring Url
Affiliate:
none
From:
2011-02-10
To:
2011-03-10
No Date Found

For transaction reports if I chose referring URL breakdown it now does show referring information in there.

I do see a campaign code builder, nice addition, though most programs aren't working with it.

How long has this "newer" system been up and running?

iwantchixx 03-10-2011 11:03 AM

Yeah the link code wizard is useless, out of 68 programs, 4 show up in it and for adding campaigns 0 of them show any options to do so.

As my final weigh in on this I suggest CCBill gets a simpler working link generator and change the link on the the main page to this newer admin area. Imagine how many affiliates are reluctant to use a ccbill program due to being "stuck" on the old system. I get all my email associated with ccbill and never has there been a notice about a newer system.

I think ill just stick to my guns and put more faith in NATS type programs. At least stats are quick & easy and link code generating works flawlessly.

AZNNC 03-10-2011 11:05 AM

Why did i click and login with that new link?!!!?
Now my account got converted and it forces me to use the new system.
The new report system is soooo fricken slow. Everything does take forever to pull up. Support says Im SOL and they can't switch it back.

KEEP ON ROCKING CCBILL!

How about the "bug" with the classic system that forces you to use the laggy "beta" because you can't do anything with sub accounts?

When will this be fixed?

Not to sound harsh but the new "beta" system is far too sluggish, slow, unresponsive and we really don't like it at all.. but now have no choice because there's supposedly a bug in the old classic system.

Please don't pull a microsoft move and force us to use something we don't like, like they did with the shit they call vista.

I am looking into this but if you can please drop me a quick email with more information that would certainly help. Thanks!

SwirlsGirl 03-10-2011 07:19 PM

swift, real time, accurate stats = good for webmasters

delayed, slow, lagging, inaccurate stats = good for processing companies

That is the riddle in the middle of the fiddle

Have you ever looked at an affiliate admin of a non-ccbill program? EVERYTHING is wrong with your 'admin portal'.

I had a problem with BOTH systems getting to sub accounts.
This has been cleared up, and cleared the browser, now I can atleast use beta to alter sub accounts.

blackmonsters 03-12-2011 07:02 PM

I think unparsed data is slowing things down.

The reports we request should not be pulled from the main database, but
instead be pulled from "account files" that are created with "double writes".

In other words, when stats are written to the database they should also be
written to individual "account files".

That way when I request a report the process is only parsing my one little
account file which will be fast and not put any strain on the main DB.

Now, if CCBill will hire me then I will get right on that. :1orglaugh

DWB 03-12-2011 11:36 PM

My internet connection is brutally slow and their admin runs pretty good for me. Here and there it hangs, but overall it's good.

Maybe you just have tons of data for it to report back? Playa.

Yeah, I sent all the info I could over to Paul a few days ago. Hopefully they get the bugs worked out ><
