I got 25k followers on Twitter in under a month. What do you guys have?
 

Just curious to see what everyone has in the way of followers.

I have over 25,000 followers in under one month on my porn-based Twitter. I am only following 600 people (mostly out of "kindness").

No bots, no tricks, no spam, nothing like that.

Whatcha got guys and how long have you been on there?

I've seen a lot of Twitter profiles that follow around the same amount that are following them.

I am aiming for 100,000. Still trying to effectively monetize these people. I've made around $500 just testing things, but pulling the trigger is risky..

I don't use porn based twitter but I do have multiple mainstream based twitters. My record for one month is 9k. Most of my sites are based on the celebrity, weight loss, and fitness niches.

I have made around 700 dollars with twitter and it helps even more with adsense :)

So you're saying, 25k (or so) followed you, naturally, no spam, ect.. thus you were able to beat the ratios/build limits put in by twitter?

Because most new accounts, have a 10% ratio then 20% after 2k, for people you can follow vs. following.

I can start a twitter account and in 5 minutes be put in the time out corner for following 200 people. Let alone 800+ a day, meaning I have more than 20% following me back, daily. Right....... on a porn account.

I didn't follow anyone to start. I didn't "not do anything", I did a lot actually and worked hard to get peoples attention fast. I used some "tricks" too to build buzz, but like I said no bots, spam or any of that crap.

Cracks me up. You have all these articles and buzz about social media and everyone is scrambling to get Twitters and Facebooks up, follows and likes and 99% of them are missing the point. There is a real method to this. - That's why you see big blogs with like 2k followers and a shit load of Twitter accounts with less than 500. - They just don't get it.

I am sorry if you fucking SUCK at Twitter and cannot grasp the concept of social media marketing. We live in a great time right now. So many jackasses out there who don't have a clue, which means that people who know what they are doing can be on top (or at least fairly close).

I have a feeling your trick has to do with moving people from one service/account/list to Twitter. Not really anything special or new... but I'll let you get back to leading others into thinking this can be easily duplicated by anyone that knows 'some tricks.'

Nope, wrong. I didn't "move" anyone. These are all organic followers who I have never dealt with before.

I don't believe you....and because you don't know the rules, I don't think you have an account with 25k followers either.

Depending on your niche, it's very easy to move people over.... for sure if you give them a reason, like a gift, discount, prize, contest of some sort, ect.

I have another account with 17,000 organic followers which I created at the end of Dec 2010.

What are the limits?

Aye, we know you can't follow 10,000 people and only have a 100 followers....you'll get a time out unless people complain, then you'll get a ban. This is to stop abuse, spammers, ect - not what your account did.

What you did was break the new account build time/ratios... Same shit that hit Charlie Sheen's account, and he didn't follow more people that followed him and he was put in time out.

If it looks legit, I'll come back and say it's legit. I won't post the url, just run it through some checks to confirm its yours, how long it took to build, following strength, ect. Not hard to see if it's legit or not.
