My Netflix queue is empty, what's in yours?

What's on your queue? Looking for more instant watch movies in particular.

Dead Alive just arrived in the mailbox. Been watching a lot of zombie movies lately. I really like zombie movies, and movies that make you think or have weird twists to them. Usual Suspects, Boondock Saints, Quentin Tarantino movies, Memento, stuff like that. I also like scifi.

So, what's good? :)

bronco67 03-09-2011 07:02 PM

I've had Bronson at home for about 8 months. I rarely even use Netflix that much these days. I've been using Vudu from my Internet TV apps.

Try these(both on Instant watch):

Bronson
Triangle(if you like movies that will wreck your brain)

I really can't think of anything I've seen recently, but if I do I'll pop back in here and make a list. Really though, check out Triangle. Underseen horror gem.

I have Get Low sitting here right now, also looking for recommendations.
I prefer documentaries, though. :)

Si 03-09-2011 07:11 PM

Red was good! if you haven't seen that yet. funny movie indeed :thumbsup

The girl with the dragon tattoo who played with fire and kicked the hornets nest was a good trilogy aswell :thumbsup

I have about 12 movies in my DVD queue, and only 2 in my Instant. More movies to watch while I'm waiting for the next DVD to arrive would be nice, but I'd like to hear about any good movies :thumbsup

Do you ever rate your movies? Neflix gives out suggestions based on what you watch and how you rate them. The more ratings supposedly the more accurate the suggestions are.

I sure do, I've rated over 500 movies so far. Nothing's really appealing to me at the moment and suggestions are always good :thumbsup

Running Scared was a good one!

icymelon 03-10-2011 04:51 PM

just watched sunset blvd really great classic from 1950. I never knew about it just that it was a famous old film. worth watching if you like film noir.

Also let me in. really liked it but I tend to like vampire films

on netflix stream
cake eaters
the burning plane.

both real good indie type movies.

SoftFocus 03-10-2011 05:15 PM

Please tell me it's more than just violence porn for people that want to see a psycho kill innocent people for 90 minutes(without spoiling anything). I'd like to believe its about more than that, but its directed by that hack Uwe Boll.

There's a lot of violence. There's more to it than that though, and there's a couple of twists to the movie, but yes there's a lot of random violence.

Oh I loves me some violence, but not mean spirited violence porn that's made just for the sake of showing it.

I'll check it out.

Here are some instant stream movies I recently watched that I liked:

The Red Riding Trilogy. It is three movies that cover the pursuit of a serial killer over a nine year period of time. It is pretty cool.

Zombieland

Being John Malkovich

The Machinist

james_clickmemedia 03-11-2011 04:10 AM

My intant queue is not that big.

Red Riding Trilogy: Part 1: 1974

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Fat Head

Monsters

thanks, I'll check those out :thumbsup

Monsters is good if you're not expecting some giant monster movie like Colverfield. It's actually a small indie flick about 2 characters, with the monster thing kid of as a backdrop. I liked it mostly because I liked the central characters.

ShellyCrash 03-11-2011 03:28 PM

Def check out Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, also known as The Living Dead at The Manchester Morgue. If you love zombie movies with a twist this is one of the originals.

Encounters Of The Spooky Kind is a really good one for a change of pace. It's Samo Hung so it's a little zombie, a little kung fu, a little wtf.

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter is kinda funny if you have a high tollerance for poorly produced no-budget indie movies. I mean, it's really REALLY low budget but for what it is it's not half bad.

Sex and Fury is a pretty interesting 70's japanese sexploitation film. Kind of like blueprint for Kill Bill.

The original 2000 Maniacs and Horror of Party Beach are always good to watch. I don't know if they rent them via netflix but you can always pick them up from something weird video.

Changling.. Good movie.
Middle Men:) Coming next.

I'm only halfway through Rampage(got sidetracked earlier), but please god I hope the filmmaker doesn't end up portraying this punk loser as some kind of hero who will basically kill of these innocent people and walk off into the sunset unharmed.

I think this is the least shitty of Uwe Boll's movies, but that doesn't make it good. I'll hold off final judgement until I watch the rest, but it looks like a movie made by sociopaths for sociopaths.
