I have herpes

I do.
On my upper lip. I get it everytime I stress about something. It's fucking annoying.. I'm so glad I don't get genital herpes everytime I'm stressing though.. that would suck ass.

Just thought I'd share.

Undutchable 01-20-2003 11:43 AM

Why you stressing? Did the results of your AIDS test come in?

dirtyone 01-20-2003 11:44 AM

mmmm... herpalicious

:thumbsup

X37375787 01-20-2003 11:44 AM

Me too, I get herpes on my lower lip once in a while.

It really sucks, I know.

ldinternet 01-20-2003 11:45 AM

Zovirax!

gothweb 01-20-2003 11:45 AM

Don't something like 1/3 of all people have herpes? The same virus that causes genital herpes causes what we generally call "cold sores" which all kinds of people get. Just don't perform oral sex when you have a flare-up, for cheesus' sake!

TheGoldenChild 01-20-2003 11:48 AM

go online and order 500-800 mg of Zovirax take twice daily for a week...

Then take one a day the rest of your life...you'll be rid of those scabs in no time.
Works when I get em'

The worst part of the damn sore is not any pussy for two weeks...

I feel for you bro :-((

This is so true and few people know about it. Do not engage in oral sex if you have a cold sore. You can get a blowjob, just don't give one.

sheepster 01-20-2003 11:49 AM

I thought "cold sores" were a different strain than genital herpes. No?

I won't perform oral sex.. I know it can transfer to my partner's genitalia. (notice how I didn't specify a gender).

Why I have it? Why do I stress?
I have big plans that eat all my money, and I'm fucked if it doesn't work out... months and months to go before I know. :(

jreaka 01-20-2003 11:53 AM

I was about 19, got really sick and my mouth filled up with sores, gums swelled up.........couldn't eat for 5 days, when the doctor said I had herpes I just about passed out. The doctor sensing this ,quicly explained it was because of the fever i did not get the "bad" herpes. Still it was kinda cool to tell my friends i had herpes.:winkwink:

Theres actually about 8.

Anyone who had chickenpox or mononucleosis (mono) technically has members of the herpesvirus living in them....

Human herpesvirus 1: herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) (oral)

Human herpesvirus 2: herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) (genital)

Human herpesvirus 3: cytomegalovirus (CMV)

Human herpesvirus 4: varicella-zoster virus (VZV) (chickenpox, shingles)

Human herpesvirus 5: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) (infectious mononucleosis)

Human herpesvirus 6: (HHV-6) (roseola)

Human herpesvirus 7: (HHV-7) (roseola)

Human herpesvirus 8: (HHV-8) (Kaposi sarcoma)

There ya go :thumbsup

Oh.. and I'm pretty sure (though I don't know shit really) that you can cross infect yourself and others with oral/genital herpes...

ie you have a cold sore on your mouth (HSV1), you touch it & then go take a piss or something and somehow cross infect yourself with HSV2.

Or some girl with a herpelip gives you head... she might have only had HSV-1 but gives your HSV-2...

Again, not sure on this 100%.. but like 95% sure anyway.

In a nutshell - Fear those coldsores people.

latest medical studies show that simple herpes can mutate into genital herpes and vise versa.

in other words, once you get herpes, it sucks.

a doctor told me that herpes can be cured. but it takes like 2 years (you have to take many different medicines)

Hmm...learn something new every day. Mono is herpes. Who would have thunk it? I am 44 and I have never in my life heard mono referred to as a type of herpes.

actually, my g/f is and HIV/STD Counselor, and she tells me it's something like 2/3. She may have meant just here in the US, though.

You've been misinformed... see cure for viruses below:

I bet the doctor who told you that was an alternative doctor. Homeopath, Osteopath, Naturopath etc. But in their defense, ND's actually go through the same training that MD's do.. they just take a different path for the last 4 years or something (I think).. but they are both just as certifiably knowledgeable about the body and it's systems I spose.

Anyway I know too much about medical crap because I have CFS or Fibromyalgia or something... one of those wonder ailments that they don't really have any real answers for.

They think I got mono a couple years ago and my body just freaked the fuck out when it was introduced to the EBV/CMV virus (if you had mono, you have EBV or CMV antibodies floating around). Not dehabilitating really.. but just enough to make you want to stomp a doctors head once in awhile. Hmm am I starting to rant? I'll stop before I do. :1orglaugh

Dude...i feel for you on the Fibromyalgia thing....Good friend of mine and my wife both have it. Immune deficiency diseases that the medical world doesn't know squat about are a bitch!!!

The medical world doesn't have a problem with taking the same amount of money (if not more) to tell you that though :winkwink:

You would think they would hook you up with a discount when they are shrugging their shoulders & sending you home with a pat on the back & a bill.

But thanks :)

smproduction 01-20-2003 01:37 PM

aciclovir, valaciclovir, ......

just a medical suggestion

Brad Mitchell 01-20-2003 02:47 PM

...If you take Valtrex...
