WOW! Why are we not paying each other like this?

I use this thing already but for some reason never considered that people can
pay me for things and remain completely anonymous except for some email
address they used.

This is going to be my new thing :

"Pay Me With Green Dot".

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...pNowbebYSHZfdn

It works like this :

- I get a greendot card (already have one)
- customer/client buys a MoneyPak(image above)
- Client then emails me the "Pin" number from the card
- I then enter the pin number online for my greendot card

That completes the transaction.

Most things I charge for will have a 24 hour or more turn around time and thus
plenty of time for the client to buy a moneypac from the grocery store.

The client is safe because I never get any credit card info, address, name etc...
All I get is their email and a moneypac pin number.

What do you think, is this too much work for the client?

Edit : Forgot the link to their website : greendotonline.com

Quite a few problems as an affiliate payout method.

1. Each money pack costs $4.95

2. Many programs pay 100s if not 1000s of affiliates each period, so you would need a fulltime person just driving around to buy moneypaks.

3. What a pain it would be to figure out payments, because say you earn $385 I would have to send you a $300, $75, and $10 money pak, so instead of $4.95 that payout would cost me $14.85 to send.

what's wrong with wires? paypal? etc..

CaptainHowdy 03-08-2011 11:33 AM

Messy to say the least ...

I'm not suggesting this for sponsors. So good point on that.

The cost of the card can be negotiated as "you pay fee or fee can be deducted".

These moneypaks can be loaded with any amount if you use the card pictured
above. You can load the exact payment amount except there may be a minimum of $20.
So you don't have to buy more than one moneypak to pay one person.

I also have to fill out a whole bunch of stuff for you and don't want the hassle.
I just pay $20 and get a green dot card in 5 minutes.

I also don't want anymore potential epass scenarios.

:2 cents:

Wires require me to give a client my bank account and routing number; fuck that.

Paypal can cancel my transaction and close my account if I'm doing an "adult"
transaction.

When the client pays me with paypal I get their personal info.
I don't really give a shit who they are so why even have the info in my account?

* Defined : Client : is someone/anyone who needed programming and not involved
in mass payments or recurring payments.

I have been accepting Green Dot payments from customers for years. They love it because there is no "paper trail" whatsoever. All they do is bring cash to a retail outlet that sells the MoneyPaks and buy the MoneyPak in the exact amount they want +$4.95.

I have never heard anyone complain about the $4.95 ... but they love the simplicity and anonymity.

Up until recently Merchants couldn't take MoneyPak payments "officially" but that has changed.

I think MonwyPak / GreenDot is totally awesome and will soon become the "next big thing" in adult payment processing.

The main reason that they blow the competition away: DISTRIBUTION.

You can get a MoneyPak at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, 7-11, HESS, Radio Shack, Winn Dixie and more being added on a regular basis.

I have been in search of a good cash payment solution for 10 years. MoneyPak is BY FAR the best thing going.

I am fairly certain that adult websites can qualify to become an official MoneyPak partner. I have read every word of their TOS and see nothing that would prohibit adult sites.

NOTE: I will start a dedicated thread on this subject and paste this as the OP

I'm very interested to find out if any of you have contacted them and been approved? Turned down?

Thanx

Neil

This is why most companies/people have common sense and create "holding accounts" whols soul purpose in life is to receive wires/ACH's.

cooldude7 05-04-2011 07:02 AM

wires, paxum , payoneeer, paypal are fine for me.,

adultzone 05-04-2011 07:06 AM

For single transactions it seems like a good idea and would be a great way for Adult paysites to sell memberships but I see a problem when it comes to anti money laundering laws and Visa/MC rules and regulations.

V_RocKs 05-04-2011 10:00 AM

chronig 05-04-2011 10:32 AM
