How do you go about purchasing expired domains?

If it's expired already, get it at any registrar.

If it is expiring soon, and you want a chance to get it faster than someone else, try a dropcatcher.

You make sure you have the whois info from before the domain expired, then you send an email to the old admin and nicely ask if it's ok with if you register the domain they "forgot" to renew

Anyways, I have my own server farm + custom script to scan for expired domains. I won't get into any more detail, but that's bascially what happens behind the closed doors of such domain squatters like UltSearch. :winkwink:

The domain has been expired for over a month now, according to WhoIs.

I thought of just "nicely" emailing the DNS host, but the only thing that shows up on WhoIs is name-services.com??

Sounds like an Enom name. I don't think they'll sell it to you, which leaves trying to grab it when it drops before anyone else does.

Ultsearch... fucking guys used to get almost everything I wanted. But they seem to have slowed down, have they ever let any domain of theirs expire?

or do they renew every single domain?
