Thanks for that post - I hadn't heard of tineye, but according to them , they took my image and compared it against 1882500000 images in 0.016 seconds (117 bill comparisons per sec), and I felt most humbled with my algo doing a mere 1mill per sec....
humiliation to the third degree :disgust

if only they could share their algo with us, we'd get somewhere...
