Chemicals Used in "Spice" and "K2" Type Products Now Under Federal Control
Chemicals Used in "Spice" and "K2" Type Products Now Under Federal Control and Regulation.
DEA Will Study Whether To Permanently Control Five Substances MAR 01 - WASHINGTON, D.C. ? The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) today exercised its emergency scheduling authority to control five chemicals (JWH-018, JWH-073, JWH-200, CP-47,497, and cannabicyclohexanol) used to make so-called ?fake pot? products. Except as authorized by law, this action makes possessing and selling these chemicals or the products that contain them illegal in the United States. This emergency action was necessary to prevent an imminent threat to public health and safety. The temporary scheduling action will remain in effect for at least one year while the DEA and the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) further study whether these chemicals should be permanently controlled. http://www.justice.gov/dea/index.htm No Fear, Just Knowledge.:thumbsup |
I remember when this shit first came out there was a guy who was a chem major at Cal Poly that was making JWH in bulk and selling it for dirt cheap. I bought a couple grams out of curiosity to see how it compared to real bud. A couple months went by and he got hired by some big company making mass amounts of it in a warehouse in Florida. :thumbsup

I'd rather smoke the real shit anyhow. I got a little of this and the high was sooo intense I didn't enjoy it and just wanted it to end.

people who sit on their computers all day forget about the huge numbers of people who have to take drug tests for day jobs, can't risk anything illegal, or due to the high levels of incarceration in the US the large amount of people on probation.
there is a big market for this shit. you want to see ratios like 99 ...? |
Probably for the best, stick to cannabis.

Thanks for that Agent. I can probably make a few bucks with that no problem.

OK so... there have been no deaths caused by this substance... personally I'd rather smoke the stuff that grows naturally (with some good genetic breeding mind you)...
But under what authority do they make this stuff illegal? Because people use it to get high? Is that the only reason? I'm asking because I have no idea... |
keep it all natural

"Since 2009, DEA has received an increasing number of reports from poison control centers, hospitals and law enforcement regarding these products. At least 16 states have already taken action to control one or more of these chemicals. The Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984 amends the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) to allow the DEA Administrator to place a substance temporarily in schedule I when it is necessary to avoid an imminent threat to the public safety. Emergency room physicians report that individuals that use these types of products experience serious side effects which include: convulsions, anxiety attacks, dangerously elevated heart rates, increased blood pressure, vomiting, and disorientation."
To answer my own question... Regardless they don't list any numbers at ALL... It could be 10 complaints, 15, 100? How many is too many? And how many people go to the emergency room because of alcohol poisoning anyway? |

It's intense. It's nothing like smoking buds...even the most potent. I'm a daily smoker and this shit was just too much for me. Once I was able to get off the couch, I went the threw what was left in the garbage. We've got a hookah shop in town where they sell it and have bongs set up for you to smoke it out of. They're open 24/7 and the place is always hoppin'. |
How is this stuff illegal and salvia is not is what I wonder.
|
the state likes to control our minds so we don't become tiger-blooded warlocks from mars.
most k2 companies have altered their formulas to stay legal anyway. |
This day was obviously coming, which is why I choose not to promote when I had the chance. I have a fair bit of marijuana and drug related traffic, and I didn't even bother putting up links when people emailed me to see if I was interested. I honestly expected this to go down a long time ago now. I suppose I could have probably pulled some money out of it while I had the chance, but meh. I know some people were doing amazing well though, and know a guy who was just setting up his own program for it a couple months back. Hope he didn't invest too heavily...
