Google and paid links
I have seen a lot of people offer links for sale here, and a lot of them disclose their site URL in their posts. A lot of time they disclose the sites with a link, sometimes in the topic, some in images, and some try to be clever and space out site url. Some of these sites offering links have good SERPs and high PR. My question is, isn't that a huge risk considering Google is actively looking for link buyers and sellers? I am sure the site owners have worked very hard in developing their sites and getting them to rank high, so aren't they taking a huge risk by disclosing their site URL here? When I buy links, I get a little paranoid that such open disclosures might lead Google to suspect that I am buying links and my site might get penalized as a result. Why can't link sellers be more discrete?
Here's what google says about paid links https://www.google.com/support/webma...y?answer=66736 Someone can easily rat out a site for selling links by using this form https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/paidlinks |
It's something that's been on my mind, but Google couldn't make it too easy to stitch up a competitor by pretending to sell links for a competitor site

you need global backlinks with a small footprint, so Google can't see them nor can they penalize your site.
If you buy lots of links all owned by the same webmaster, that leaves a huge footprint and can be detected easier by Google. Hit me up for my global backlinking service. ~Ray |
