    do u get your weed at a dispensary? how do you decide? [menu pic]

    i usually ask for what's freshest, or what they recommend.

    how would you go about making a purchase decision from this:

              in my 20 years experience, it's all the same.
              The biggest difference you'll notice between any of those is between indica and sativa.
              Sativa is a nice light high that won't make you drowsy, indica is a heavy stone.

              Beyond that it's all marketing.

              I used to sell dope by the shitload, and a little dealer trick I had was taking my stash splitting it into two bags, and tossing one a round a bit to rough it up.

              I'd sell one bag for $10 per gram, and one at $14
              The $14 bag always sold first and these dummies would always say how much better the $14 stuff was.

              It's all BS.

                  When I run a lot and my legs hurt, the one that relieves the pain the best is the Blue Dream. My buddy grew ak 47 and that is fantastic for a good buzz. Nothing beats the taste of Blueberry.

                  Not sure how the card works but, I would probably buy 1 of each if possible....

                  Fuck I wish I could just go to a dispensary and buy a gram when needed.

                          really? so i should just get the high noon (cheapest) on that menu? oh, and i truly can't tell the diff b/w sativa and indica! i've done the pepsi challenge with them often and i just can't tell! i know one of them is best during the day and one at night but hell, i dunno.

                              I've been on the BlueCheese and Kush (both extremely stank) up here for about 180-200 an ounce.

                              These prices above make me happy it's not 'legal' here.

                              I'd much rather pay half, and not worry about police, then pay full rate and not worry about police.

                                      you can double the prices on that menu if you're buying from the weed dealer in l.a.! i've paid ~$90 for 1/8's, maybe more. and you get what they got, no selection.

                                              I dont think this is necessarily true. I dont smoke nearly as much as I used to but back then and even now I notice this. Once you smoke a strain for a week or so and then switch its a totally different buzz. I also like the difference in taste between different strains. What the menu does not show that a lot of dispensarys DO show is potency. The sativas on the menu above range from 8% all the way to 14% in potency.

                                                          the crazy thing: there are ~20 dispensaries within a 3 mile radius of me, each with their own varieties!

                                                          here's another menu from a local spot that also delivers, i like going though. getting a good whiff of everything!

                                                              Regardless of which strain you pick, you're gonna have to switch it up to get high.
                                                              Your body builds a tolerance to whatever you're smoking pretty fast.

                                                              Either way, just means he can try the whole menu, and probably his preference will come down to taste, not a difference in high.

                                                              I find if you smoke a dope that makes your tastebuds pop and the roof of your mouth itchy and bumpy for a few minutes... you're gonna get high as fuck.
                                                              ( this is a slight allergic reaction, which indicates you are smoking a totally different dope than you're used to)

                                                                                                  I got a new batch last night and texted my guy "is this a new flavor" and he comes back "your taste buds are exceptional." But it was the smell that really made me notice.

                                                                                                  Personally I like the heavy, dopey feeling and prefer indica over the sativa. However most kush's seem very light to me and are never as good to me as others. Even for how much people love it. Just tried lemon a few weeks ago, tasted good.

Homegrown was the stuff you might smoke only if you were really desperate.

                                                                                                                                                                          Most of what I have seen at the local dispensaries I would classify as homegrown. I have tried a few things on those menus and not one of these modern strains compares to the pleasant high we used to get from weed long ago.

                                                                                                                                                                          What do people recommend? And does anyone actually get high from this stuff nowadays?
