Anyone using Firefox on Android phone?
Firefox 4 is now available on the Android phone so I'm wondering if redirecting
mobile makes sense anymore. Sponsors are redirecting mobile traffic that I send to hosted galleries to mobile sites. Which I think is shit for my site. The surfer is clicking thumb after thumb and seeing nothing except the same mobile site tour for each gallery. Fuck that shit. Links are being pulled. This doesn't make sense any more. It's so easy to make a cheap script that can return a mobile gallery with pics in it instead of the unrelated mobile site tour. In addition, Opera mini browser can reformat your site to be viewed just fine. The bandwidth would be the only issue with that browser because I like big pages with lots of thumbs. Check this out. Open Opera, then go to top menu and click : View/Developer Tools/Page Information/view/small screen Now type in this url http://blackmonsters.com Now tell me why a gallery can't be made to work with this and needs to be redirected? It doesn't. All I need to do is add browser detection and return less thumbs to make the site faster for mobile(if that is needed, I don't know) The surfers are able to click on my links and I have done nothing to make a "mobile site" so why is it that they can't go to the gallery that I'm sending them to? |
