Big change though. Pattaya pumps sewer water into the sea and the beach is eroding. Pretty ugly compared to some of the areas on Samui.

I prefer Phuket......get the best of Thailand all in one stop.

Phuket is only good seasonally. The wet season down there can be horrible. But when it's nice... it is quite beautiful.

yeah Samui have gorgeous beaches all around, there is night life and hookers of course, lots of sexy EU babes that look for a good time too :)

Samui isn't bad, but it's not the one of my favorite islands...

im northeast. go thru pattaya maybe once a year. thought about having a webmaster gathering there sometime. there's at least 20 webmasters in thailand.

When the Africans hit Issan, it's officially over. Good news is, you can get away with shooting them up there. :winkwink: Many people up there do not like blacks, especially Africans. Not sure if you know this or not but the Thais even have a song about black people making fun of their noodle hair and dark skin. They even tell stories to their children about black men eating Thai babies. Black guys are one of their boogieman. They are hard core racists. However, more and more hookers are getting into blacks because the dumb whores are into hip hop and they think that's cool. I hope they enjoy the AIDS they will catch from the Africans. Not to mention, the Africans are using many of the girls for drug mules. Shame.

What's your up/down speeds there? For international use, not local.

Last time I looked at the net in Issan it was brutally slow, but that was a few years ago.

dl is usually not too bad. uploading is pretty awful to US servers.

edit - i should mention that since facebook added Thai mid-last year there are now over 6 million active users from Thailand. so i actually get timeouts now to US sites/servers during peak times like 6-9pm. but i usually work overnite.

Internet is, for all intents and purposes, great up here. Costs 3000/month for the high tier, but it's just fine. Then again, KK has the largest university in Issan, so that probably has something to do with it.

The 630/month package is fine, but a little slow.
