Just got the email - does this mean no more Vegas in the dead of summer?

I think this is a risky but possibly ingenious move to corner the east coast market at that time of year. Let see how things turn out.

How's Chicago in June?

I hope it isn't a replacement. We have gone to several mainstream shows there and they always have the lowest turnouts.

I just think it would be very hard for them to throw 2 shows in the same month, don't you?

Yeah, but maybe they will do Vegas in July again. Did you go to WA when it was in NYC at the W? I predict half of that turn out.

Yeah NY was bad show, although a fun trip. You can't move back to July (in 120 degree weather- outside). This has to be replacement. Its a good move considering August Miami plans have not been solidified, risky in that a new city is a question mark - and your comments on Chicago.

The NYC at the W one was one of my least fav, the hotel was not good for a show, at all.

Actually always wanted to visit Chicago so just for curiosity I may venture East :)

I agree - worst show, bad hotel, bad for business...but a good time as we ended up just leaving the show with a few people and exploring NY.

I wish them luck and I will go because I have a place out there, but if you ever did the ad-tech or SES circuit, there is no question. It is tough to get people out of the house there.

I went to it because it was NYC and I had never been there before. I think that show was as much a business event as the Maui show was. A tax write off, nothing more.

Chicago is a great town and a quick flight for us (instead of having to fly all the way across the country). I agree with Baddog though attendance at the adtech's in the past wasn't fantastic...

Haven't been to Chicago for 29 yrs. 3 of my siblings are from there.

Bummer, I enjoyed the summer show in Vegas, and I'm already going to Chicago in May for a conference. :Oh crap

Perhaps this will help attendance for the Cybernet Expo show in San Francisco in June... :thumbsup

Very hot and humid but not nearly as hot as Las Vegas.

guess i will be making it to this show :)

I'd be down for Chicago simply because its a different city. I don't think I'd do it twice though unless it was a really impressive turnout.

Chicago weather is nice in June. Good venues for shows abound and the dining is great. World class city and I'll be there for sure.

Xbiz summer was one of my favorites :(

It's about time they move the summer show from Vegas. but i'm not sure that Chicago is the right city for it. The Chicago weather in June is fantastic though.

Only time will tell. June is a tough travel month for me, so unless its at the end of the month, I won't be making it.

Cybernet Expo is June 23 - 25 would be a shame for the dates to clash...

Chicago is one direct flight for me, makes it attractive

Hour flight for me and great city!

I won't be there in Chicago. The Las Vegas show is my favorite show of the year. If they don't have it, it will be a shame.
