ahhh my topic :)

3D Toon porn does indeed sell and it sells quite well, you'd be surprised at what CAN be made from sales on a sponsor level as well as sales on an affiliate level

Before I get into how well it sells, let me give you some info on WHY it sells...

There are many factors to WHY it sells and even though I've been in the 3D Toon game now since the late 90's AND was dubbed "The Godfather Of 3D Porn" by AVN in 2004 I STILL can't sit here and tell you truthfully WHY exactly it sells as well as it does lol.

I've found through the years the following.....

NO LIMITS:
There are no limits in 3D Toons (excluding legal limits) But here is a platform where you could (as a producer) set up your dream shoot, location, model, clothing, props, etc etc so you are able to create a product that can not be matched with real content.

FANTASY ASPECT:
In this platform you can have content in outerspace, under the sea, monsters, vamps, zombies, tentacles etc etc

ART ASPECT:
This is one I have stuck to heavy, many fans / customers I've spoke with over the years CLAIM they love this style of content cause it falls more into the "art" category then actual "porn" BUT in backing that up look at the magazine "Heavy Metal" that has been running since the mid to late 1970's that features the same style of "cartoons" and has a huge audience.

so there are three good examples for a customer level of why this stuff works the way it does...

For the affiliates:

3D Toon content is NOT an overly saturated market, right now there are really just a handful of producers (myself included) making content for sale to companies, and an even smaller handful of companies that have their own in house artists. and unlike our real life counterparts there is not a huge flood of say "blond teen girls with braces and pigtails"

Also the buyers tend to be more "respectful" of the content (this goes back to my "Art Aspect" in my mind) and you won't find MUCH of this content on file sharing sites, news groups or forums, and in the few cases you DO see much of it are put there BY PRODUCERS like myself to get more feedback from the community.

In terms of promo content IF you are promoting either a producer of content OR a company with their own in house producer your access to "custom content" is damn near limitless, Over the years I've created tons of custom promo content ranging from models wearing the affil's logo on clothing, to the affil's TGP on a poster or screen in the shot lol.

As for content itself, Photos dominate this niche ONLY due to the lengthy process of creating video content, the viewers / customers understand and FOR NOW are ok with subscribing to a site with 75/25 (75% photos 25% videos) and that SHOULD stay that way for at least the next year or two (because now software is making it a bit less time consuming to create the video content, and full motion video is GETTING easier to produce)

All in all this is STILL a budding niche even though it's been around since 1998 or so (give or take a year or two) it really did not "pick up" till 2004 when more and more 'programs' started to look into it, and then it reached it's "hay day" in 2008, since then it's pretty much stabled itself out to a good money making niche with an army of buyers.

If you're looking to promote the niche then allow me to beg of you this....

DO NOT NEGLECT a program just because they might be "small" or run via CCBILL I've spoken with many of the "smaller" 3D Toon programs and they all say "sales are slow" but the larger programs report the exact opposite (and some show me proof lol) and I can only say that it's due to the following....

There are more affils who ONLY want to push pay per signup programs, instead of the rev share programs, and with 3D Toons, there really are MORE rev share programs out there then pps programs.

Companies like Birdbucks & Shinydollars have great sites but they offer revshare not pay per sign up, where as companies like Sextronix & Hentaibiz also have great sites but they offer pay per signup AND revshare

and of course you could promote Racy3D via Solobabecash ;) which is Rev share only.

Now as for "how well it sells" that really depends on your niche, your affil base and your overall content

on a producer standpoint I saw a good number of months were I made $5k - $8k in B2B sales selling semi exclusive or exclusive content packages

on an affiliate standpoint I had some promo sites that generated 10 - 20 sales per week with little to no traffic to them (I've never had time to build surfer traffic networks lol)

while working with various programs over the years I can say hundreds of new signups per month is not uncommon but rebills tend to not be as high DEPENDING on the niche and offerings of the paysites/programs I've dealt with.

These numbers are not "amazing" or "groundbreaking" by any means, BUT you need to keep in mind these numbers are for CARTOONS lol, and too me those are GREAT numbers, some would call them "bad numbers" some would call them "ok" but whatever you call them just keep them in the proper context of being cartoons and not their real life counterparts.
