Why is there a search feature?
 

It doesn't include threads from the last who knows how long, I'm trying to find a thread from like a week ago and the top listing is shit from 2010.

I'm pretty sure there are other forums more populated than this with a search feature that is still fully functional. I understand this forum has so many threads/posts and traffic that it causes a big load but there has to be a way to also search through the latest posts, come-fucking-on.

Maybe the new 'management' can work on this? FFS.

Anyways, if someone can find me the thread about negotiating with car salesman please link me.

Never been a problem here. Only problem I have with it is the length of time you have to wait between searches.

Search function here hasn't worked properly for some time. But if you use the advanced and set the date limits you get better results.

I have always hated the fuck out of the wait nine million seconds for another search thing

The next version of VB should let the board owner set it up to where the delay is set by commonality of the words you're searching for

Want to search for "and"? Wait seventeen minutes before you do it again.
Want to search for "midget niche pps programs" and then "pps programs for the blind" ten second wait

I know we can't let morons sit there hammering the fuck out of it without slamming the server.. but this twenty eight minutes between searches it always drove me crazy

Even better would be to just give searches a low priority and not let them use memory or cpu until there is plenty free and only let each idiot have one search going

The wait is slightly annoying, but I can go do something for a couple minutes and come back. But the fact that I can't search the last months worth of threads is retarded.

Yeah sometimes it happens... However it also depends on the keywords placed in that thread.. If the person didn't submitted any keyword with thread then it will definitely give authority to old threads where someone placed it. So, i think its not "SEARCH" but the people who ARE RESPONSIBLE..
