I reach for my computer to post a 'What shall I do?' post on gfy...

People seem to think that they will just wake up at 3am and be fully alert and ready to deal with anything and that's just bullshit. That only happens in the movies.

I have a collapsible baton on the shelf next to my bed. I hope to God that should an intruder surprise me that I grab the baton and not my pocket pussy.

I grab the Heckler and an old Rambo knife so I can plant it and tell the cops I had no choice.

Well.. since nobody can get past my door... including the infamous "key to the city" SWAT uses.. I just laugh.

That's why I have 6 dogs and a perimeter alarm system.

This ensures that if for some reason an intruder makes it past all of that, I have every right to use deadly force.

Then a short boat trip with a chain saw to the nearest reef and the sharks will take care of the rest...

Only thing I have close to my bed is a metal elephant or a lamp. Guess I'm fucked.

I have a trained dog as well as home alarm and a few weapons.

Problem with home alarms, most alarm companies don't alarm the windows. I have all windows alarmed , including a broken glass sensor. I put a bunch of other cool features in it, but won't state them here, LMAO

We keep a golf club by the door for that purpose. It's more innocuous looking than a crowbar, which would be my first weapon of choice, barring firearms.
