Hello Fuckers,

This is one of those annoying introduction threads where I say hello and a bit about me and show of my name tag and then all the other forum members slam me with welcomes and affiliate referral links.

Short time lurker, first time poster. You may know me from other sites where I've used the same handle. I used to post a little bit on another adult forum but I was NOT all to thrilled with the action on the forum. I run an adult website (surprise!) and am hoping to learn how to get the traffic to convert better (at all) and fine tune which programs I'm running.

Speaking of traffic let me give your my (traffic) measurements:

I'm a 30/41,000/178,0000

I mean over the last 30 days I've had 41,000 uniques and 178k page views. All good old fashioned Googler organic and back links mostly from the US of A and those across the pond folks.

Total conversions? Z E R O. I've tried targeted ads based on each niche on the site, sex toys, web cams, dating sites, video sites, ejaculation offers and etc and ___.

So if you've got any ideas I'm all ears. I look forward to Googling the sites you post with your "ref=" links.....

Only let those with credit cards access your site. :)

No my batting average is just really low right now and will soon rise. It isn't that much traffic in terms of adult although I do feel like I should have some conversions.

Go easy on me please:error. All the ads rotate on banners, I'm sure you recognize the usual suspects. The most popular categories are erotic fiction, real sex audio and masturbation. The site is all Joomla with various components. The old site sucked so bad but was getting traffic so I sorta threw this one together over a few nights and just rushed it out in January so I'm constantly changing things.

Also if anyone has any dirty audio they want to share you can put links in your story submissions and on your profiles.

second thought,

looking over the content drop the current sponsors for paysites/cams/dating that match your most popular content themes.

would prob not rely on banner to drive sales but maybe work sales text into your indiviual posts.

where are those audio clips coming from, a sponsor? i'd post a small sample instead of full stories and then make em pay or send them to the sponsor for the full. just a guess as i've never done erotic stories

doubt there is erotic stories affiliate program.

keep the full stories to bring traffic then filter and upsell that.

Make sure those 40k visitors aren't mostly bots or people from China and India. Even if they aren't do some math to see what's going on. Let's say overall you somehow manage 5% overall CTR with those 40k visitors. That's only 2,000 clicks to sponsors. That's not enough in 2011. Paysites on average convert between 1:1,000 - 1:2,000. Webcams between 1:500 - 1:30,000. Dating between 1: 750 - 1:4000. See what I'm getting at here? It's no wonder you aren't making sales.

I know you said you are getting good SE traffic, but you'd get a lot more if you'd write better page titles.

On your main page the current title is "Welcome to Eroticast:"
As very simple improvement would be "Erotic Audio Stories | Eroticast" and you could certainly work in a couple of other keywords as well. The same goes for the rest of your pages.

In terms of monetization, I'm of course going to suggest that you promote us in your celebrity section. The phone sex idea sounds like a good fit as well.

you're doing something wrong.

Those aren't necessarily my stats. They are what most people seem to experience based on my own experiences and what I see others indicate on forums. Ranges seem pretty accurate to me but feel free to share what you think is a more accurate picture.

@Sam appreciate the suggestion the change has been made. I do try to use descriptive titles for all the stories and use relevant keywords in the story/description and keywords.

@signupdammit Most the traffic is from the USA, I got one recent back link that is sending thousands of visitors per day and get on average 700-1000 from Google per day and growing.

I completely understand what your saying about the traffic needing to be higher. I'm trying to make the site enjoyable for users and increase the traffic and then hope to make money from it. I've been adding at least 1-5 new stories a day since I relaunched the site. I'm hoping that advice of a good site, daily updates with good seo will eventually make money.

I'd also recommend one of our IM pop up ads, they're pretty small, wouldn't interfere with your main content (they'd show up where the background side is, if that makes sense?) and we also have some great flash ads if you want to log-in and grab one of those instead of what I've posted here.

I am happy to report since making this post I now have a huge upswing and conversions and have made $3.99 US! Bawlin.

Also after googling "phone sex affiliates" most of them look shady and have crappy sites.

Any suggestions on which ones are legit ?
