Lightening struck today
 

...I saw the flash out of my office window and an immediate...almost over powering...burst of thunder. Was very close to hitting the house. Scared the hell out of my dog.

a. To make light or lighter; illuminate or brighten.
b. To make (a color) lighter.

How long before he figures out that what he typed isnt really the weather phenomenon that he saw?

We have been having nice Spring like weather here in the Bay Area, but suddenly got hit with lightning, thunder, hail, the works...

Maybe it is an omen?

The lightning is powerful.

I just finished a bowl of cereal. I might have another cup of coffee. I'll come back later and let you know if I did.

Last time I had one hit that close, I heard a frying sound and almost a cartoon-like ZZAAAAAAAAP sound, Yes really! It killed my modem, my router, my tv's tuner and an expensive telephone. Telephone wires and cable wires are usually the most vulnerable, and sure enough.. they were dead.

i once was shocked by a lightning hitting the tree right in front of my kitchen when i was on the phone ... it struck barely ten feet away from me and my ears almost fell off! flying phone shit damn

Lightening can be pretty scary in some situations....however Lightning is much worse
