Congrats to Colin Rowntree on the FSC Leadership Award and to Wasteland.com for specialty site of the year! Its awesome to see the best site that Ive been promoting for years win at XBiz. I could not be more proud for one of the guys I respect the most not only as a biz partner but as a friend. Your the best Colin and keep being the best and most honest just like you have been since 1995!!!!

Colin's tenure in the industry speaks volumes to my mind about him.

I am very proud of the whole SpiceCash team, Wasteland's continued forays into new technology, delivery platforms, and developing itself as a comprehensive destination.

Any program that can be an industry leader for as long as they have is just unreal. They don't sell out they just keep inovating and paying webmasters and most important continue to bring an awesome product to their users. I think many programs overlook that this these days. Colin's programs don't and thats why they rebill like crazy. Ive got rebills over 5 years old from initial joins with them!!

Naming Colin the winner of that award gives even more prestige to the award itself than it does to Colin. Few people in this industry are as praise worthy as he is... congrats Colin. :thumbsup

I still haven't quite gotten over my disappointment with Colin for recommending the movie "2012" to me... but other than that possibly unforgivable transgression of a film endorsement, he's a 100% solid fellow in my book. ;-)

Colin, I have admired you from afar for years! A breath of fresh air always on the panels on which you speak! Thank you for the chance to meet and have our VIP lunch in the premier GLASS ROOM! Congratulations on your award!

Congratulations Colin. From my perspective, no other person in the adult industry today deserves this award more than you.

I've been lucky enough to have been included, and I'd go as far as to say pseudo-adopted into the Wasteland/Rowntree family. It's funny to think that an interview request those years ago lead to such an outcome, but I truly look upon Colin as a father figure and a mentor. I am honored that I can look up to someone with the values, and tenacity to stand up for what is right - in this case, free speech.

A Relentless desire to do more, be better...it's inspiring, however it can be exhausting at times, to be perfectly honest. Colin, your never-ending energy and enthusiasm to be innovative and contribute to the adult entertainment community wears out myself - a man almost half your age. That alone speaks volumes about who Colin is, and how he and the entire Wasteland family have been able to achieve such amazing things...things that stretch beyond their own profitability and growth - things that effect us all, as members of this community. We all owe Colin a debt of gratitude.

This is a lot more long-winded than I was aiming for, but in truth it's difficult to congratulate and state publicly what kind of person Colin is in 50 words or less.

Colin, Congratulations - Your contributions have rightfully been recognized, and I couldn't be happier for you!

I can feel the love so I thought I should probably say something more profound than flipping the bird to Q for his witty post.....

You might have noticed that we were nominated for three Xbiz awards. I'm both honored and humbled to say that we won Specialty Site of the Year for Wasteland.com. What was completely unexpected and equally humbling was receiving the FSC Leadership Award. To be recognized and receive praise for doing work that you love is an honor. To be recognized and receive praise for your very core values is to be rendered speechless.

And, as I didn't say it after the AVN Awards...

I am honored and delighted at being inducted into the Internet Founders Branch of the AVN Hall of Fame. Since starting Wasteland.com in 1994, I?ve seen the adult entertainment industry develop and change dramatically and have truly enjoyed being an active part in its metamorphosis, being a mentor to many coming into the industry over the years, and striving to provide a positive example of artistic and ethical practices.

For all the writing that I do on a daily basis, I find I'm sort of at a loss for words. I mean, really... how *does* one post sincere congratulations to one's boss without sounding like a complete and total suck up?

I suppose it's alright though, because even though I work for the man, I still have some serious fan-girl like moments. I've been a Wasteland fan since I was at Stockroom, and a Colin fan since the first time I met him. I'm immensely proud to be a part of his team.

I'm not at all surprised by either award, even though they both made me tear up a bit. If you've ever seen *inside* of Wasteland, you would know that it's truly an amazing collection of content, and practically a digital history of kinky internet porn in and of itself. Anyone who has ever spoken to Colin for more than 5 minutes (or heard him speak on a panel) knows that he has strong opinions and no problem at all telling us what they are. The thing that sets him apart is that he consistently walks his talk.

So congratulations, bossman on the Specialty Site of the Year, and the FSC Leadership Award. You truly are deserving of both.

As obvious from the comments in this thread, you and Angie have been an inspiration to many throughout the years. Your contributions are numerous. FSC would like to extend our gratitude for your contributions to our efforts this year as well. Your creativity, hard work and persistence has enable FSC to be more effective on a number of fronts.

I have learned a great deal during my past four years at FSC. Yet, I know that I still have a great deal more to learn. I look forward to learning by your example and from your expertise.
