Wouldn't they just rank their own site and keep all of the money for themselves? What are the advantages of ranking your site and taking a comission? Fair question. What else comes with the job? If nothing, then my question is fair.

I think its fairly normal to hire seo guys ;)

Build the site, host it in uk if you like, buy a few links on uk domains to point at yours, task is done, you'll rank on uk engines... go on about your way.

So true, SEO is for the basics anything complex and you need to do it yourself. The basics are important though. But in the end you need someone tou show you what to do so you can gradually work your way up.

Actually thats a pretty good point you have there doc.
I too think that hosting it on a uk server gives me a big advantage.
