Wordpress mulitsite
Is anyone using wordpress multisite? Is it easy to install and operate?
I've had enough of constantly having to update 300 blogs with new wordpress versions. Also I'm thinking it's safer against hackers. |
WordPress MU is no longer under active development as a separate product. Its features were rolled into core and released with WordPress 3.0.

It's quite easy to install and manage, just make sure to have you regular backups;
the Wordpress MU - you needed to have wildcard domains enabled, so if they are not, speak to your host (not sure how it works with WordPress 3.0) |
Ahh, I mean't with wordpress 3.0 but I guess the same advice you gave applies.
thanks for replying. I'll experiment with a couple of new blogs. |
I was using wp-hive before the update happened... it's a bit of a pain at times, but updating wp/plugins ect has never been easier.

I use it on a bunch of domains and once set up, it really does make life easier.

If anybody wants to trade accounts on personal setups, I'm game. I have both adult and mainstream. Standard rules apply.

Nobody...?

I might be down for something like that Sly. I've thought about making the offer before but you beat me to it.
I will be in touch. |
