A friend of mine asked me where he could get some hosting for his sites. He uses about 1.5 gig of drive space, but only does about 4 to 6 gig in traffic per month among 10 or so domain names. As you might imagine, it doesn't do much as far as income so he's trying not to spend more than half he makes on hosting. He's looking for managed hosting. Where should I refer him ?

Most of the places I know to look, are more expensive. Shared hosting would probably good for him but the storage space allotted is usually more like a 50 GB b/w but 500 MB space plan.

If he can deal with the crappy support and cogent connection what about Rackshack.net? You referred me there a year ago and I've had minimal problems. (knock on wood)

Rackshack is good for me, but not for him. He wouldn't know how to keep his server secure and updated.

Phatservers.net shared planes are good. It's cogent bandwith but if you ask for it you can have verio for a little more a month.

Candid offered $99 boxes with 50GB included I believe. Check with them...

How much is he willing to pay?? I can toss him up on my server if it worth my while. I have enough extra space on the server and plenty of bandwidth to help jump start his business. Hit me up on ICQ.
