It's hard to imagine that Hefner purchased the company and took it private, if all he is involved with is picking centerfolds, since he could have likely kept on in that capacity anyway.

I believe that instead he will focus his attention now on grooming his two sons to take over the biz (Marston seems fairly sharp, although he is probably only half-way through college). If so, I wish he and his sons good luck.
